    I was at Apple through around 2000.  There was a plan in the 1990s to move the entire headquarters to Austin TX, and Apple even bought the land and started building offices there.  The move would have been smart for Apple, but bad for California.  You can understand why Cupertino wanted to entice them to stay.
    Good thing they didn’t, I doubt they would have been able to attract the talent needed without California lifestyle. That is before you allow for Texas current aggressive conservativeness that is on full display now.

    So Apple might be just using the name to boost regional tourism that is taking a hit due to federal government actions?
    um No. Look at the names Apple has used in the past. This is right in line with those.
    And the lake local tourism board have said how pleased they are. Apparently there is an uptick in international interest each time Apple uses a place name.

     Os26 suggests it’s buggy till next January. 
    If you base it on pro software that uses the same numbering. 

    It should be 2025 if it is going to be stable and usable mid beta like the last few os updates.

    also the name should apply across the full family of os’s
