Woman immortalized by 5-foot iPhone headstone in Russia
ChristophV said:The reflexion seems to show an clickwheel iPod but upside down.
Normally headstones have timeless designs and a date on them, on this cemetary the year is not written in stone but can be recognized by the generation on Apple device. Did anybody spot a PowerMac Cube? -
The other problem with Apple's content restrictions -- creative freedom
Dead_Pool said:I’m no prude, but TV these days has really gone over the top, particularly with violence and gore. It’s gotten to the point where it’s done just for shock value, just follow the trend. It’s more important to be cool and trendy than to focus on quality storytelling. And it has ruined many a good show to the point where I have lost interest. I don’t want to invest time in watching something only to feel like crap after it’s over because of all the buckets of blood spilled. I was actually pleased to see that Apple is not just going to follow the herd. Perhaps they’ll have a show or two that I can actually watch without feeling it was directed by Cannibal Corpse. -
Apple Watch surges to top of global wearables market with 'market-beating growth'
AI_lias said:Sad day. Apple has succeeded convincing a lot of people that it's OK for your watch to only last one day. Reminds me when you had to wind your mechanical watch each evening, except charging your Apple watch takes longer, and maybe you have to also charge it again in the morning, to make sure you start with a full battery for the day ahead.
Also, my Series 0 used to use a little more than half its charge during the day. But now my Series 3 typically uses only about a fifth of its charge in a day. -

Apple promotes free month of upgraded iCloud storage to non-paying users
While those of a certain persuation keep expecting "free stuff" from companies which "have enough money", according to them, in the real world, Apple just keeps on making great products and delivering great services such as paid iCould storage plans. We've been on the 2TB plan for months now, and it's very nice to have that much capacity for a reasonable price. It's very convenient to have it available to all of our devices (family plan), too!
