  • Early iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro benchmarks reveal 4GB of RAM across all models

And why should I care if they have 4 or 6 GB of RAM?
My 12.9” iPad Pro running iOS 13 final beta has memory issues. Safari tabs and apps re-load way more frequently than they did with iOS 12.  I hope 13.1 fixes it.

  • Here's why Apple didn't win with a $500 million offer to J.J. Abrams for Apple TV+

I’d rather see Apple spending money acquiring legacy content to supplement their original programming. I’m not sure how much out there is available for sale but whatever is Apple should be buying it up.

  • Apple TV+ 'Dickinson' not shying away from sex in NYC premiere

Apple should definitely release episodes weekly, even if they initially put up 2 or 3 episodes. Netflix’s approach encourages TV binge watching and I feel that’s not the best way to watch TV. Weekly episodes allows fans of a show to discuss the show and digest the episodes and puts a shorter period of time between one season ending and another beginning—one of the biggest pluses. Netflix’s shows get used up quick and by the time there’s a season two we have forgotten the specifics of season one, which takes from the show and quells interest.
Also if you space out episodes you have people subscribed longer. With Netflix you can binge watch a season in a weekend then cancel right away.

I still don’t get why Apple is in the business of original TV shows other than they think they need to start charging customers a monthly fee for stuff and TV shows is one thing they came up with. And no one so far has given a compelling reason why Apple is doing this. All the podcasts and Apple centric talking heads focus on the what and the when but never the why. It feels like Apple starting with the financials and working backwards towards a product. Every time Cook paces the stage and talks about these shows as anything other than entertainment I want to vomit. These shows aren’t going to change the world. Sure some of them might be good and entertaining to watch, but they exist to keep you in Apple’s ecosystem and extract $5/mo out of you nothing more than that.

  • First iPhone 11 Night mode photos demonstrate Apple's illuminating camera tech

People on Reddit are saying that 13.1 enables night mode on their XS and XR. Here's hoping this isn't an accident and Apple actually gives it to us A12ers in the final release.
