  • Apple execs looking to recruit TV & movie producers for 'transformative' change - report

Yeah this sounds like a disaster. Whoever is leaking this is doing so for a reason.

As Apple executives are busying looking to do business in Hollywood, entertainment industry insiders are scratching their heads over who, exactly, is driving the effort.

“Robert Kondrk, Eddy Cue, Jimmy Iovine, everyone is trying to be the person,” one insider told The Post. “They each want to be the guy, and they’re telling people, don’t deal with the other one.”

Yeah except that doesn't sound believable at all -- Apple knows how to build a vision and pursue it singularly.

    Oh, and BI.
BI got it from the NY Post. Somebody leaked to them. Bloomberg also reported that Apple execs would be in the middle of an Apple Music deal and then find out that Jimmy Iovine was doing his own negotiating that nobody knew about.

As far as the vision thing, what exactly is the vision of Apple Watch? It clearly has changed since the watch first launched. Out are the high end watches and pop up shops at expensive retailers. The focus now is almost 100% fitness related. That's not a singular vision.

  • Bloomberg attacks Apple TV as failing to be "a groundbreaking, iPhone-caliber product"

You know AI the more defensive you get about Apple the more you prove the point of what you're trying to dismiss? Does anyone really think apps are the future of TV? Does Apple know how to think beyond the app paradigm? Apps have not moved the needle for Apple Watch or Apple TV. One could even say the same for iPad where sales growth has been declinig for a while now. This story seems to indicate there were/are engineers inside Apple who wanted to do something different than just a grid of apps for Apple TV.  I'm glad there are employees inside the company thinking outside the box.

Tim Cook's world domination tour continues.

Truly the best CEO on the planet. GOAT.
Until Apple's stock drops again (which it will) and then you'll be ranting about all the things Apple should be doing that it's not and how Cook needs to go blah blah blah.

  • Apple weighing legal action against Trump immigration ban, to match employee donations to ...

I'm a conservative who didn't vote for Trump (because he's not). I think the way this was rolled out was a joke. Yes I think there needs to be strong vetting for people that want to immigrate to our country or be here for an extended period of time. Just like I agree there needs to be strong background checks for anyone wanting to buy a gun. What I find amusing is the same people who are against gun control think banning people will stop bad things from happening. If someone wants to get into our country to harm us they will find a way. It's the same thing with the wall on the Mexican border. Trump talks about all the drugs pouring into the country. Well obviously those drugs wouldn't be coming here if there wasn't a demand for them. I see a lot of talk about walls and travel bans but little talk about why people are coming here in the first place.

  • Tony Fadell explains early iPhone development process

You notice that the guys designing the interface were engineering guys and product guys. Now we have people from Ive's team doing that stuff. The problem is that they are not very good at it. We need the engineers back in control at Apple.
Not true. Industrial designers aren't responsible for software UI design. The human interface team was put under Ive (and now reports directly to Tim Cook). The guy on stage demoing the new iMessage app at WWDC worked for Scott Forstall.
