They (TSMC) do not pay the tax. The American company that imports the product pays the tax, and and they usually pass that increase on to the consumer, resulting in higher prices.

TSMC makes the same amount of money per chip no matter what.

Prefer the Apple Card here because it doesn't show a visible card number that can be written down or photographed.

I too prefer Target, but lately they've been cutting SKU's left and right and I almost always end up not finding everything I used to be able to buy there.
