iPhone fold predicted to launch in late 2026 with no Face ID
Xed said:The only way I can see it done with known technologies is that is that the center is thinner than the edges of the "wings" s that when folded it's mostly equal thickness. This could allow a radius of the screen bend that doesn't lead to a fold. Although I would still be concerned that the folding the digital matrix thousands of times would lead to degradation of the substrate. -
Rumor roundup: iPhone 17 Pro's camera resolutions and layouts
If Apple want's bloggers to use their devices more for video... then they need to focus more on audio. They need to integrate more with wireless microphones and perhaps even create their own wireless microphone system. Having a single USB-C port is a huge limiting factor. Can't run a mic to the phone when one has to use the sole port to offload video to external storage.

Apple turns off data protection in the UK rather than comply with backdoor mandate
Scot1 said:I’m not a lawyer, of course, but what’s the difference between getting a court ordered warrant to enter someone’s home or workplace if they are under investigation for bad acts against the population or the government and doing the same thing to investigate same on someone’s phone? How do you find a balance between keeping people safe and respecting the rights of the individual? -
Trump's chip tariff threat takes aim at Apple's TSMC partnership
"They needed an incentive and it will be they will not want to pay a tax"
They (TSMC) do not pay the tax. The American company that imports the product pays the tax, and and they usually pass that increase on to the consumer, resulting in higher prices.
TSMC makes the same amount of money per chip no matter what.
Trump is an idiot. -
Why Walmart still won't accept Apple Pay
macxpress said:Yet another reason why I will never step foot into any Walmart. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere...such as Target. Much better shopping experience and clientele anyways.
