Elon Musk and T-Mobile try beating Apple with satellite vaporware
I’m sure this is connected to the current battle between SpaceX and Hughes about 5g spectrum usage.Your slant on the story seems to somehow put Apple vs T-Mobile and I’m not sure why. The service is coming and it’s not a service provided by Apple. They’re just going to sell phones. It the satellites provide a cell phone service in a regular 5g spectrum I assume any phone built with radio support in that spectrum will work. Satellite providers will team will cell service providers, perhaps exclusively in the beginning, and cell phone makers will provide phones. -
Chamberlain pulls the plug on its HomeKit smart home bridge
loopless said:We have one of these, and it's the only way to bring our garage door into HomeKit - the garage door uses RF to communicate with the bridge. It has been very reliable in general with only one off-line incident in several years.I'm not sure what those other 99% of people are doing? -
Chamberlain pulls the plug on its HomeKit smart home bridge
The reason for low sales is that it’s well known that it’s a piece of crap device. I can attest to the accuracy of that as well since I have one. Initial setup and configuration is a nightmare…and I’m a tech guy. The install instructions never worked and always required a call to the support line that had different instructions…that they would never post!!! Also the design and architecture of the chamberlain/liftmaster setup in general is terrible. -

Eve Aqua (3rd-gen) review: Upgrades all around for this Thread-enabled spigot
I bought three to use when I went on an extended trip. I ruined the first one just attaching the plastic to the hose bib. Sent them all back. I’m slightly interested to see how this new fitting works but I’m skeptical. I’d pay double or more for a dependable device that’s not made of plastic.ALSO - Am I the only person that’s waiting on thread light switches? I’d think switch/dimmers are the #1 use case for automation. I’ve been holding off a year on replacing a hundred old control4 switches.
