Apple can't stop Swatch from trying to trademark 'One more thing,' judge rules
This whole affair just looks incredibly juvenile and tone deaf from Swatch. People have moved past plastic disposable fashion. The Apple Watch is not the kind of problem that Swiss watchmakers can just market their way out of - it exists because an entire industry sat on their hands while simultaneously letting quality slide in favour of profit. The very few remaining quality swiss brands will persist, the junky ones won’t hold any prominence.

Lawmakers remain conflicted about what to do about Section 230
All of these companies have policies against the types of destructive disinformation and hate speech which congress has issue with.
They’re in front of congress because their history of poor enforcement of these policies have made them a magnet to nefarious individuals.
Just this week the CCDH released a report demonstrating that just 12 individuals are responsible for the majority of anti-vax information. Similarly political disinformation dropped massively after Trump was booted from Twitter.
It’s plain to see that these companies could do a lot more to clean up their services.
However a problem also exists: certain political figures want this disinformation and are equally likely to punish these companies for culling such disinformation. -
Apple responds to ProtonVPN app update refusal complaints with timeline
There is a strong pattern to this handful of developers:
- part of the app “fairness”’coalition
- posts factually incorrect, sorry lets call it what it is, posts lies in an attempt to create a false narrative about apple and the app store
- have all run counter to basic rules in the store and dug in their heels over such issues
Its time to start flagging these tools whenever they speak up, much in the way Gruber flags every Bloomberg post. Why? because they have a credibility problem.
