  • Elon Musk's on-again off-again Twitter deal is back on

I think his lawyers told him he’s not going to win the case in Delaware. Still hoping this doesn’t happen though.

  • Tim Cook made it clear that Apple won't adopt RCS any time soon

I get it, I like Tim, we’re from the same county but disagree on this one.  I would rather advanced text messaging work and work well no matter what phone I’m texting too - not buy them or convince them to buy an iPhone.
You’ve got WhatsApp, Telegram, Wickr, Signal and I’m sure other options that would work for you. But why should apple adopt something that isn’t even fully fleshed out and isn’t something iPhone users care about? Of course they want more ppl to buy iPhones. His response was perfect

Though is that date entry verified somehow?
That’s a parent’s responsibility not apples or Californias

  • Australia orders Apple & others to disclose anti-CSAM measures

Why do you keep pushing the narrative that this stupid idea is inevitable? Apple already does this with iCloud. There is absolutely no reason to do this on device. And the lie that apple will simply refuse to change or add no csam to the hash is nonsense. This is why we don’t want this done on device. People who engage in these disgusting acts will simply use android phones with customized apps to hide behind

  • Upgraded version of O.MG hacking cable packs nefarious new capabilities

    netrox said:
Also, keep in mind that consumers will unlikely get OMG cables on Amazon or BestBuy or anything of that sort as the cost of cable is high. Consumers would not buy a cable that would be worth that much money. A victim would have to be of a high value and the attacker would have to physically give them the cable making it more difficult.

It will become a concern as soon as the costs go down enough that there's no difference in cost between OMG and nonOMG cables and by then, it's likely USB standards will require implementations to counteract those kind of attacks.
I have to disagree. I don’t think $200 for a cable with these capabilities is expensive at all.
