Microsoft debuts Surface Studio all-in-one PC, refreshes high-end Surface Book
People trying to downplay this but they're in denial. This is a great looking product and DOES have a level of innovation not seen in Apple for quite a while (Apple Watch's Digital Crown is probably the most recent practical innovation they've had). This is Microsoft recognizing a market that Apple has willfully neglected and went for the jugular. It isn't over for Apple, clearly they've bested Microsoft in everything else, but now the ball is in their court for their next moves for the Mac. They may not deliver tomorrow, but I hope in time this pushes them to reintroduce their support for the pro user, and reinvent how they get their work done. -
Google reveals Chromecast Ultra, Google WiFi, Daydream View VR; details Google Home
VR headcases (and boy are they just that...) will NEVER be mainstream. Will NEVER "ooze" style. Will NEVER "be the next big thing". There is nothing attractive or useful about strapping a screen to your face. I don't care if they made it out of gold and released an Apple Watch-esque video about how its made, It still looks horrible. Tim Cook is smart in dismissing it in favor of AR. That doesn't require a ridiculous headcase, Which doesn't blind you. Which DOES have very useful potential. VR is just a distracting toy for adults. Will never be a tool. -

Kuo: Apple Watch shipments to decline in 2016 despite new models, lower prices
thrang said:Whatever. All I know is I see more and more Apple Watches in the wild every month, and I'm certain this was always viewed by Apple as a slow long burn that accelerates over time. What most don't understand is the "killer app" is the Apple ecosystem itself.
