Watch: Hands-on with iOS 11's new Document Scanner
What is impressive about Apple's implementation: It gets a perfect scan from even a steep angle. I've tried scanning the same document from an extreme angle, and from straight on, the resulting scans are indistinguishable. This is incredibly impressive and unlike anything I've ever used before. And that's not even using a special 3D camera, just the equipment on the 7 Plus.
Makes you wonder what other soon-to-be application Apple has for a camera scanning something at a distance at an extreme angle...OH that's right, Face ID. -
Apple manufacturer Quanta seen riding high on 'Apple Watch Series 3' coming this fall
schlack said:I don't see a compelling use case for LTE.
I do think that the S1 chip in Series 0 is starting to show its age in a big way, and the Force Touch/Taptic engine has either gotten worse with time, or just feels like it has because the iPhone and MacBook trackpads are so dramatically better. -

Inside macOS 10.13 High Sierra: APFS benefits end users with space, speed
I had an iMac with a 1TB Fusion Drive + Boot Camp, and opting in to APFS during install killed my drive. Had to reformat, rebuild the Fusion Drive in terminal, and reinstall from Time Machine backup.
Updated again without opting in to APFS, and its fine.
So, I don't recommend anyone with Fusion Drive or Boot Camp partition even attempt APFS unless you know how to recover from a total data loss.
