  • Apple thinks the iPhone 16e target market doesn't care about MagSafe

Or just how Apple has specifically and directly told Gruber that its market doesn't care about MagSafe. Charging speeds and methods do get more attention from long-term or technical users than they do from regular consumers. Nobody really cares about the difference between 7.5W and 15W, because nobody really notices
OK, but when they rolled out MagSafe that was true of pretty much all iPhone users. Nobody had used it. Nobody had seen the difference between 7.5W and 15W. Nobody cared about it until they tried it. Saying 16e users don’t know any better seems a bit dismissive.
I think the point is there’s a subset of users for whom it doesn’t matter. I’m one of those - I use inductive charging only sporadically. For me, the best thing about MagSafe is the MagSafe wallet I got for my phone and that really doesn’t need MagSafe per se, just magnets.

  • Bose Ultra Open wireless earbuds review: Great, but buy AirPods instead

I know the author was comparing to AirPods but for me the AirPods Pro fits the bill perfectly. You can easily change between ANC and transparency mode so you don’t have to choose. As a bonus, the ANC coupled with an AirFly adapter make them awesome for air travel.

There are people for whom standard earbuds don’t work (my wife among them) and for them, the novel Bose design may solve their problem, assuming they don’t need ANC.

  • iPhone 16e vs iPhone 16: A new Apple Intelligence-powered entry-level option

I was at the Apple Store last week looking at iPads and got accosted by sales people twice gushing about Apple Intelligence. They insisted on showing me how it could be used to remove stuff from photos. ok. Cool. I don’t need that. My MacBook Pro has it - I’ve yet to be wowed. I get it, ‘AI’ is the latest buzzword and Apple doesn’t want to be left out but in my daily use it makes zero difference. Likewise it will have zero effect on my purchasing decisions.

  • These are the best iPhone 16e cases that add MagSafe back

I don't think I know anyone who doesn't use a case for their phone. I also don't know anyone who actually removes the case to charge. This being the case (no pun intended,) I can't understand why the lack of MagSafe on the 16e is getting everyone up in a tizzy. Just a case and charge as inefficiently as you want.
I’m sorry, but I don’t quite understand what you are saying. Are you trying to say that a user needs to remove a MagSafe-compatible (/Qi/Qi2) phone from the case to change the phone via MagSafe (/Qi/Qi2)? If that is what you are saying, then: That’s not the case (pun intended, lol). Charging via MagSafe (/Qi/Qi2) will work through the case material.

That is assuming the case material is compatible, of course. If the case is too thick or the case contains certain metals or whatnot, wireless charging might not function. But otherwise the wireless charging will work though the case material. And all of these cases in this article are cases that will allow wireless charging through the case material.
No - I'm just saying that if you have a MagSafe case then you can use a MagSafe charger just like you would with any other iPhone. Inductive charging is always inefficient and adding a case makes it more so by adding thickness. People claim that MagSafe makes charging faster/more efficient but then leave their case on. If they were really worried about speed or efficiency they'd use a cable.

  • President Trump is irritated about Apple not completely killing DEI initiatives

I love the people who scream for the gubberment to leave people and companies alone then get upset when it doesn’t stop companies from doing stuff they don’t like.
