Third-party remote platform support for Siri in iOS 12, tvOS 12 will be a game changer
In addition to the Harmony style remote, I hope that manufacturer will come up with something innovative.
I'd really like an LED touchscreen dedicated to controlling Homekit devices, for times when I'm not carrying my phone or when guests are over. I want to be able to mount it on a wall. Something similar to sticking an iPad mini on the wall, but without all the other features that add cost.

2018 Back to School Buyers Guide: Should you pick Apple's iPad or Mac for college?
While the general advice is good, students really should check with their school or university to see if there are specific requirements.
Anyone studying computer science, mathematics, finance, engineering, architecture, etc. will probably need specialized software.
If you really want to be safe, buy both. -
Stand-alone Microsoft Office 2019 for Mac preview arrives for enterprise customers
Yay! Morphing. 😣. How about fixing the bugs that have persisted in Excel and VBA for years?
Maybe waterfall charts should allow us to define our own color scheme (without having to edit each column individually).
Or you could allow VBA to change conditional formatting on a protected sheet when the userinterfaceonly option is enabled.
Or you could support try … catch
but hey … morphing! That should stop people from presenting bloated PowerPoint presentations!

AppleInsider said:
It appears watchOS 5 will mark the end of extended software support for the first-generation Apple Watch, as the beta is not compatible with the legacy device.
Having a family that enthusiastically owns many Apple products, I cannot afford to constantly update each device every two to three years. -
