It is true that China is the only place where they can manufacture products at the scale necessary for worldwide supply, but is also true that Apple could have push for diversifying more manufacturing outside or china. Making the Mac Pro in TX is not enough when your just sitting on the biggest pile of cash in the world. The only reason they are starting to manufacture in India is because they are required by the government. Tesla has been investing on diversified their production all around the world. And I know, Apple does not own the factories, but they can push vendors to do what they want for sure.

Airpods Pro Lite make no sense unless they discontinue the non wireless case for the regular Airpods and lower the wireless case to $160.

If this happened on iPhone, people would be loosing their minds saying that Apple is violating their privacy and trust, and the stock price would've taken a hit as well...

If they did that, they wouldn't be able to hit the $399 price point. This phone if for attracting people new to Apple and developing markets, not for your niche dream phone.
