  • Apple Card will be the most secure credit card ever, and here's why

    ...
However, if that happens, you can just turn off Apple Card and stop it being used. Go to Find My iPhone on another device or on icloud.com and remove the card.

You can already do this today with whatever credit cards you have registered on Apple Pay on your device. Except you can only remove them from Apple Pay....
    ....
How exactly can you remove a card from ApplePay using "Find My Phone" or iCloud.com?
I would guess you could do it using a second Apple device, but I have not seen this on Find My Phone.
Well, I removed all my cards (unintentionally) by signing out of my Apple ID on my iPhone.  When I signed back in all my credit cards had disappeared.  Is this a feature?  🤨

  • Intel splitting manufacturing group into three parts after repeated 10nm delays

Why would Qualcomm say Apple gave secrets to Intel when all intel had to do was talk to the old Qualcomm person they hired in 2015?
As conditions of employment, many employers ask new hires to sign documents related to proprietary data, such as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).  Even if you never signed an NDA you could still be sued for breach of trust.  Some companies handle this differently by requiring departing employees to not work for a direct competitor for several years, on the threat that the company could sue them.  The threat alone is enough to deter most people who are moving to new companies.

  • Google Maps becomes first third-party navigation app with Apple CarPlay support

There is a setting to show speed limits, but so far, I haven't seen any while use Google Maps in CarPlay. Apple Maps shows speed limits on all the roads where I live.
I wish Siri could just tell me what the speed limit is on the road I am driving, instead of referring me to a web site while I’m driving!  😣

  • Ralph Nader once again assails Apple's stock buybacks

The planet's on fire and most of the “third world” still live in abject poverty!

Glad to see Nader still active, challenging corporate power, and making cogent critiques.  The status quo still supports capitalist inequalities and greed over responsibility and community.

Yea, damn capitalist Apple for indirectly providing toilsome factory jobs that you wouldn’t want to do to a million+ desperately poor Chinese subsistence farmers who were more than happy to get away from the farm and abject poverty, and who now earn enough money to send back to their relatives on the farm so they can eat properly and have enough money to get basic medical attention when they need it.  Horrible capitalist pigs!

What universe do you live in?

  • Former Apple employee charged with stealing autonomous car trade secrets

It is hard. Chinese have been stealing tech secret for long time. It is just rest of the world don't know how much and how!!! Chinese have planted tech stealers in Universities research labs, defense and other high tech corporations, hacking through government sponsored, just every which way you can steal and cripple country like America's future economy.
You just don't have be worry about Russians but lot more so of Chinese, way more.
And this isn’t just one Chinese company stealing from an American company.  This is state sponsored theft.  The American military-industrial complex is hardened against this threat but American commercial companies are only beginning to understand the threat and take it seriously.  Good on Apple that they had the wits to check into this.  Shareholders need to step up the pressure to enhance IT security in all companies.
