  • Windows won't dominate enterprise in a decade, says outgoing Jamf CEO

Not likely at company i work for.  We have roughly 2400 linux desktops for POS at our stores.  We have roughly 2100 windows laptops and desktops.  As for Mac - about 10 devices.

let’s face it,  microsoft owns the office suite and will protect it by whatever  is needed.  All the best features will be on windows platform.

In general,  business software is built mainly for windows by developers.  That is not likely to change any time soon.

  • Netflix won't be making a native Apple Vision Pro app

That decision will last all of one hour upon the introduction of the Apple Vision Pro at the Apple store, and the same also applies to any other developer sitting on the fence early next year.
You really think a lot of people will want to sit around wearing goggles to watch shows or movies??   Wow…. I completely disagree.  I actually think the idea is bizzare.

  • Apple guts internal communication tool, crippling union organization

Would be interesting if Tim Cook and other leadership work at some stores for a couple days.  Let them see what goes on, what it’s like.  Of course they won’t though.  The people who work in retail are on the front line so to speak.

I work for a big company, but not in our stores. There was one year the office staff had to work at the stores on black Friday in attempt to have staff understand how retail is.  What an experience,  you get a new respect for people in retail.

  • iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro: What the rumors say is coming out this fall

“As a result, this can help considerably increase the optical zoom capabilities of the onboard camera.”

Since when has any iPhone had ANY optical ZOOM capabilities? The current and best camera of the iPhone 14 Pro has three fixed focal lenses and any zoom capability is digitally created. Why is it so hard to understand?

if a periscope lens is available, it will be the first time optical zoom will have ever existed in an iPhone.
The specs have shown iphones have had optical zoom for years,  you can go online and compare iphones on Apple website and you will find both digital and optical zooms in the specs.

Granted,  there is only so much that can be done in phones compared to real cameras and real lenses.

  • Apple Vision Pro won't be an iPad-level business for quite a while

Give it Two seasons.  With proper advertising and product placement which I'm sure they have it locked down. - Every headset sold will be four iPads in terms of coin - it will replace the iPad just like the iPhone replaced the iPod.  The wealthy will be buying this like a pint head passing the bat to his pint head friends.  Look how dumb people look with sunglasses - Aesthetics won't play a feature in this game when the kids are in the backseat with a 4k three-D TV or Adults sitting in a park.  The possibilities are endless...
Disagree,  people don’t look dumb wearing sunglasses, they protect the eyes.  For whatever reason you seem really optimistic about this new device.  Forget about price for a moment and ask yourself - how many people will want to wear a computer on their face?  I have to think the number will be low.  I don’t share your optimism and doubt the ipad will be replaced by it.

Actually, it could be said that wearing a computer on the face may look dumb,  it could even make people  look anti social.
