Saudi journalist used Apple Watch to record own interrogation and execution, report says [...
dipdog3 said:He didn’t take his iPhone inside with him, he left it outside with his fiancée.
Since cellular Watches aren’t available in Turkey, he must have been connected to WiFi to get the data out, unless they recovered the watch (which would contradict the “his is missing” story)

App Roundup: Google Duo, Office 365, Reeder 3, Viber, more!
Office 365 just keeps getting better and better. 6 users and unlimited device installs...nice!
Affinity seems to be killing it with their Adobe-replacement software. They now have the trifecta of apps...all they need is a really good PDF application, and we could say goodbye to the "rip-off machine" called Adobe! The only problem is Adobe file formats are so entrenched in the "Pro industry" that the Affinity software would need to be compatible with the same file formats, and I'm not sure, but I don't think they are. Baby steps, I guess...

Apple patent hints at non-invasive glucose monitoring tech for Apple Watch
melgross said:deminsd said:Reliability is key if we are to trust the readings. So far, the AW heart rate monitor hasn't proven to be reliable enough for me and that should be relatively simple.
Is there any possibility this will be in the AW4, or is it too early?
while I can’t say what you’re doing, I’ve found that people who do complain to me about it are wearing their watches too loosely. Another thing which plagues certified medical equipment, as told to me by a doctor, is that occasionally, the measurement coincides with the rise, or fall, of the heartbeat, resulting in a momentary high, or low count, or apparent dropout of a reading.
i keep my watch sensor surface clean and relatively tight (but not too tight) on my wrist.

All three 2018 iPhones to support wireless charging, AirPower mat to cost $150, rumors say...
