Teams is such trash because it is an Electron app.  Runs everywhere, but also runs crappy everywhere.
Weren’t they supposed to be moving away from Electron?

Teams has unfortunately taken a framework that’s totally not appropriate for all day usage then made the worst experience possible. We have moved to teams purely because of its BS integration with Office but I *hate* it on a daily basis.

The product team responsible for this continue to make dumb, minor features when there are glaring usability and quality of life features that need to be implemented. Filtering chats in the chat list window based on people/topics? Forget about it. In the middle of creating a meeting invite when someone sends you a message that you must answer urgently? Forget about it. You either have to finish your current task or cancel it and lose what you’ve done. No context switching. Some chat windows can be unpinned, others, not.

Terrible terrible terrible and zero attempt to make a point 0 release. Just continuous, unimportant feature updates.
Yep - just a really bad app.  Part of those problems are due to it still being an Electron app.  On Teams for Windows, sometimes the arrow keys stop working to move the cursor left/right when typing a message in chat.  Solution - log out/back in or reboot.  Simply closing Teams (fully closing) doesn't fix the issue.

How hard is it to recompile an app? Especially one so old it’s about to get removed any way? If it’s that out of date and you as the developer are not willing to update it, then I’m not willing to use it.

    Kind of hard, sometimes.
So Unity is the problem.  Developer's problem - don't use Unity!

That is a problem with TOO many apps - they use 3rd party frameworks that don't follow Apple developer guidelines, don't update quick enough, or don't provide forward compatibility.  3rd part framework is the problem with the Tweet you quoted.
Sure, but that still makes it a much bigger problem than a simple recompile. Developers can’t just not use Unity for an app that’s already shipped.
Agreed, but it's still the developer's own doing - they chose the framework, never updated, etc.  This was my point - their choice(s) made it not a simple recompile.

Interesting - just got a popup on my iPhone telling me PR wasn't compatible with my eero network. Had been running fine for weeks.
That is normal for Apple. they even do not support their own after some time. Prepare to buy new stuff to satisfy Apple needs... or leave (I did latter).
If you left Apple, why are you still here & posting?
