Epic asks U.S. Supreme Court to enforce lower court's App Store order

The App Store. Moreover, numerous courts all over the world have ruled that Apple is 100 percent entitled to charge a fee for creating, running, and administering the App Store, and that such a fee would be applicable **even if** Apple itself or some other authority made them accept payments from alternative providers.Mind you, as noted previously, 85 percent of developers don’t pay any fee at all, and small developers who do less that $1million/year don’t pay 30 percent, so there’s little chance at this stage that any court is going to find the fees excessive.
EXACTLY. Why did Apple start a fight with Epic. Epic created a video game that people liked. Someone or people at Apple need re-evaluation. Epic was paying the fees. They didn't skip on the bill and steal a gettaway car. And get into a car chase. -
Apple Vision Pro draws investors back to struggling VR/AR market
There are probably some similarities to the smartphone market after Apple introduced the iPhone, but this advice sounds nuts to me. Maybe you can make some money by investing in the also-rans, but which company made the most profits from the smartphone revolution? Apple. Who is likely to make the most profits from AR/VR if it goes mainstream? I would expect Apple to lead the pack again. -
Apple slammed with $1 billion class action lawsuit in UK over 30% App Store fee
BirderGuy said:So I guess we better launch a class action lawsuit of every business in the UK and abroad. If you’ve ever sold your artwork in a gallery, guess what? 30% fee to cover their cost of operating the store. And of course better shut down all those mom and pop shops that apply at least 30% to what they pay the wholesalers so they can pay for, oh right, operating the store. What these developers, and I am one too, want is for the store owner too allow them to make money,(in some cases millions, if not billions of dollars), while the operator is the store provides them with a free storefront. I produced my app and had to do virtually nothing but hit enter and the entire world knows about my app. Yeah, I shouldn’t have to pay for that? Give me a break! -
How the Apple-Goldman Sachs relationship became an unhappy marriage
AppleInsider said:"No commercial bank that's experienced in the credit card business is going to give Apple the same terms as Goldman did," said Nilson Report publisher and payments industry expert David Robertson.
It really sounds like GS was looking for an easy profit-making venture, got surprised when Apple told them it was going to take hard work and decided that they didn't like the sound of that. -
