Hyundai in talks with Apple to produce 'Apple Car'
I'm not convinced that any german or Japanese car manufacture is worth Apple's time, they are producing far inferior electric cars in regards to efficiency compared to Tesla. Hyundai however even beats Tesla on efficiency, so they have the Tech and quality is really great, their designs where butt ugly but that has been changing quickly and here is where Apple could come into play anyway. -
Microsoft may follow Apple in creating own chips for Surface notebooks
danvm said:sdw2001 said:LOL. One could not write a more ridiculous 30 year story about Microsoft copying and following Apple. Windows. Luna UI. Zune. Windows phone. Surface. It’s comical!
And I don't get why you think it's ridiculous to copy good ideas. Was Apple ridiculous when copied MS with the Pencil, keyboard + trackpads, FaceID and multitasking in tablet mode to iPads? -
Apple highlights PUBG Mobile on same day it's set to close 'Fortnite' account

“Epic lowered prices through a direct payment option, but Apple is blocking Fortnite in order to prevent Epic from passing on the savings from direct payments to players.”
They are making an extra $1 from these d*mb players. They still don’t see it and believe the #freefornite c*ap. -
Bill Gates suggests tech companies like Apple 'deserve' tough questioning
I call for an investigation in O365, they really killed all competition in productivity apps and pushed everybody out of the market holding a 95% market share in that space by leveraging there OS dominant position and linking licensing ... Ow and while we are at it, linking cloudservices like storage and domain controllers should also be reviewed. -
Epic Games wanted a special deal for 'Fortnite' on the App Store
kmarei said:hammeroftruth said:ITGUYINSD said:hammeroftruth said:qwerty52 said:This new fact confirms what there is behind Epic’s shouting and crying about Apple’s monopoly and about absence of freedom in AppStore.Money, money and ones again money! Those poor bastards.
To be fair, Epic should charge $1.99 for the app, and Apple gets 30% of that. Then, all the IAP's are through Epic payment systems since Apple has nothing to do with that. The reason why is they AGREED to it. The App Store was created for any developer to make an app. That’s why Apple takes care of those issues. So a mom and pop developer doesn’t spend a ton of money on hosting their app, processing their payments, and breaking down what taxes they need to submit. Just because Epic is big enough to do it itself doesn’t justify breaking the agreement.Your handle implies that you work in IT, so if you do, let’s put it this way. Some IT specialists get several hundreds an hour for their work. Sometimes, they only need to work less than an hour, but their agreement states they get paid a minimum of let’s say 3 hours. Is that fair? Well, yes, that’s what their employers agreed to.
so it’s not like fortnite couldn’t do this on their own, and it was Apple that provided this service for them.
it’s not like Apple gave them all this exposure and made then the most popular game on the planet, they were huge before the iOS version came out.
only reason it’s on App Store, is Apple forced them to, if they went to access iPhone users
its exact like buying camera from amazon
and then amazon saying you HAVE to buy your memory cards from them
and give them 30% markup
