Why does everybody just assume that AirPods 3 will get an event slot? The AirPods Max didn’t even get one. In fact, since the original version was released, all of the subsequent AirPods releases were done via press release. I see this minimal upgrade getting the same treatment. I think Apple is going to announce something else alongside the new MacBook Pros that no one is expecting. Will it be their AR headset or glasses? Probably not, but maybe. Or maybe a new HomePod. Or a console quality Apple TV Pro with an Arcade+ service.

Hey, this is just a friendly psa…Apple has just posted the upgrade values for the iPhone 12 models. For my Pro Max 128g, they are offering me $790, while Gazelle is offering only $435. 

Pretty anemic upgrade, imo. At least the rumors got that right. I was going to go with titanium this time, but now I’m thinking I’ll probably just get aluminum again. Bigger display and fast charging are undoubtedly great, but I’m not sure it’s enough for me to warrant the extra cost, especially since next year is looking to potentially be a more significant upgrade.
