  • Apple editorial chief chats about Apple Music TV, Springsteen takeover

does apple music tv appear only in apple’s music app or will it (should maybe?) be in the apple tv plus app?
Apple TV app... scroll down until you see Beiber and you’re there. I lasted 30 minutes...not my scene.

Don’t say “we want to serve all kinds of music lovers” when all you play is corporate pop. It’s misleading.

If anyone cares, the (Product)Red watch bands are available now. The Braided Solo Loop is already pushed back to an early-mid December delivery, but the Solo Loop is showing a 1-2 week window.

  • iOS 14.2 beta adds Shazam music recognition to Control Center

I’ve been using Shazam for almost 10 years and until this article I didn’t know it worked over AirPods.

  • Compared: Apple Watch Series 6 versus Apple Watch SE versus Apple Watch Series 5

I don't understand why always-on is so desirable. Why have the display on when you're not looking at it? The slightest wrist rotation turns my S3 on. A tap works too, although that's obviously not convenient when your hands are full.

Plus, Apple says having the always-on feature disabled can increase battery life. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210428

I'm not saying there isn't a use case for always-on -- anyone care to provide an example?

It would be nice to have while sleeping and having to check the time.
On my series 4 I have to turn over to raise my wrist because just tilting my wrist doesn't work.   THEN I get blasted by the full daytime brilliance of the screen.   That has been a pain.  But, with sleep tracking being added more people will be wearing it at night and it will become even more applicable.

Or, it would be useful in business meetings and such where its impolite to conspicuously raise your wrist to check the time.
During sleep tracking, the display turns off automatically and makes you rotate the crown several times to turn the screen on. Once on, the display is then dimmed, avoiding that blasting you refer to. It’s actually my favorite new feature of WatchOS 7.
