The TextBlade keyboard is superb, but you'll have to be patient

i guess we are on opposite ends of the spectrum. [etc]
You may be on a spectrum, I however am not. I am neither allied with you nor opposed to you. You to me are a random stranger on the internet.
I read the article and it contains claims which have been made before, years before, and were not true then. I asked for clarification from the author of just one of those points and have had to put up with waves of slurs, lies and propagandising from the company that took your money. They are incapable of arguing any point without resorting to personal attacks as has been shown here in this thread.
That's your choice to order one or not, and if you knew anything about anything you would know that I am not going to advise you cancel your order, nor to add to it. It's your choice, you have read some of what has been written here, and you read a bit of the subreddit and feel informed. Well good for you.
I have no agenda, employer, shadowy manifesto nor ulterior motive. I want my small keyboard, I want the company that lies, to stop lying and lying, and especially I would like them to stop lying about me. They can't even a cancel the correct order when they have a tantrum.
I do not claim that it is vapourware, if you had been paying attention. That is not my drum to beat. I have simply stated that the Textblade is not finished. The logic is inescapable, if there is work to do on the Textblade, which by the company's own admission there is, then pallets of Textblades can not actually be finished.
Waytools can and have attempt to say "oh it's just like an app, the actual thing is done" and then they say "oh that firmware we won't ship our product without, it still doesn't even do as much as the 'finished' firmware we have ditched to go on this 10 month plus refactoring spree and were not comfortable making our general release." It boggles the mind; why lie about something so daft? Why with all the things that are going on, make a claim only to contradict it within a week.
No. while the article may say so, I do not have to patient. I may have to wait but I do not have to be patient.
To summarise dear, it's not about you, it's all about the company that took your money.

Another poster criticizing this company years after receiving a refund for a $99 product. I ask again, why? Time to move on with your life and let go of the bitterness, Alex.
Why the compulsion to post in response to a post not directed at you?

Who has the money? Mark Knighton has the money.
Sorry was daydreaming there.
I agree that it a rare day when WT issue an unequivocal statement regarding their product. I can't tell you what work is actually happening or how many people are doing it, I can tell you that from WT's recent update there new version of the firmware still has less functionality that the version they moved away from over 10 months ago (july'18). I can also say that when the code refactor was announced, some people sighed and said that 2018 was no longer possible for GR and that 2019 was looking unlikely. Well 2018 did pass and we are nearly 5 months into 2019. even WT has updated they orders page to summer, which for them means "you might get another deadline by September".
I gave never felt that after the butterfly debacle in March 2015 that the product has been close to shipping. Even TREG seemed to be getting something not quite there and I believe that there were 11 physical design revisions during the first year or so. I don't know how you go from production ready in Jan 2015 to feature incomplete firmware in April 2019.
Many people ordered on the strength of the first statement, not preordered the website didn't say that until much later, and their orders are being held up by the second statement in 2019. That does not feel 'ready' to me.We all probably agree its remarkable that they could live off the money for as long as they have. There is a theory about that. BC427246 might shed some light.

actually it was from customers that emailed us about the antics of these pseudonyms. What?
You are saying that you took hearsay from strangers and based a slanderous 4 year campaign on it?
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
In fact I am glad that you let that slip out, I had wondered why there was a sudden rush to do what you did. And now we know.

On the matter of MacRumors; If the author had wanted to add anything clarifying the situation further she would have. She did not, and we all just have to respect her decision on that. There is clearly an expression of distress from her in her farewell comment and no matter what anyone's opinion on what happened based on what they saw at the time and subsequently, we all need to show a little empathy here.
You can vacillate back an forth on the whys and wherefores of exactly why coverage stopped but it is clear that No other Macrumor contributors have published a piece about the Textblade since.
In fact the last communication from MR on the subject in closing the last open thread on the topic was:If the vendor wants to provide details and status, he certainly can do it on his site. That does not to me sound like site admin is interested in posting of further information regarding the Textblade at all.
----
Sigh, this:
Our company posts are always openly marked, and our staff has real names.Posts are marked, staff have names. Account does not have real name. Account is not staff? Because staff have real names but pseudonymous WT support accounts do not.
Does anonymous poster using the support account ID actually proof their work?
----
"Accusations". Which are attacks.Yeah maybe apply that to some of WT's claims about me. I post for clarification from the author and 'wham' WT start walking the general public through their collection of tinfoil hats. We have many difference over the years, but 100,000 words of posts managed to find the odd patch of common ground. Did WT by your definition here attack me in this thread?
----
To summarise WT_support's position:
- if you have an order and criticism of WT you are disingenuous because you kept your order.
- if you have a cancelled order and criticism of WT, you are disingenuous because you aren't a customer and have nothing to gain.
- if you never ordered and criticism of WT, you are a bad actor.

Certain posters here are remarkably well-versed in the act of gaslighting,Opinion
as manifest in the extremes to which they practice it.in your opinion
A related technique is to concurrently accuse their target of the very abuse being visited upon them.Fascinating. Are you trying to claim that the tactic your are using is being used by the people you yourself are being accused of using this tactic, by?
The latter aims to confuse third party observers.Well assuming that several different actors from around the world who all accused you of acting in the same way towards them are all using the same 'tactic' at the same time. Ah yes but didn't you accuse them all of being a shadowy cabal acting at the behest of competitors, something you have not produced any evidence of. So lets see here, you have a claim that the people you have force refunded or ditched from WTF (WayTools Forum) and people here, are all in it together. Cui bono?
I seems that it is to your advantage that this be true, yet I see nothing anywhere that names a mastermind competitor company. So if you have a company name, as you are so certain that there is a benefit to them for running whatever you are accusing your critics of, spit it out. I would love to invite that company here to comment.
This misdirection is to provide cover, and avoid scrutiny.Misdirection is it? You have written a lot of words here but stopped short of:
The Textblades on those pallets are finished.
The article makes that claim, journalists work on information received, from where did that claim originate?
It's not like we are 200 comments into this thread and Jumbo has left the room. He is still there messing up the doilies and knocking over the standard lamp.
Reviewing some of those posts above, it’s pretty obvious what’s happening and who’s doing it.Yes it is obvious.
There’s plenty of textbook evidence here of this illicit practice.
Ooh, that just raised the stakes. So you are accusing all those in this thread who have criticism of your company, it's communications and it's customer service of 'illicit practice'illicit
/ɪˈlɪsɪt/
adjectiveforbidden by law, rules, or custom. So what is the exact thing you are accusing you customers of, and which law, rule or custom are you claiming they, and lets remember you are claiming that they are acting in concert on behalf of a competitor whom you have yet to name, have broken? Many of the keywords in the Wikipedia article on topic are in fact used in their posts. And yours. So if using words in Wikipedia articles is evidence of doing the thing the article is about, you are also by that logic guilty of the same. It is weird to accuse yourself of the thing you claim others are doing with the argument you use as evidence as the claim.
The abuser calls their targets insane, delusional, liars, and makes the attacks quite personal.I direct you to your opening comments directed at me. (from the same copy pasta article)
One sure sign of toxicity is when a person is chronically unwilling to see his or her own shortcomings and uses everythingin their power to avoid being held accountable for them. This is known as projection. Projection is a defense mechanism used to displace responsibility of one’s negativebehavior and traits by attributing them to someone else. It ultimately acts as a digression that avoids ownership and accountability.Malignant narcissists and sociopaths use word salad, circular conversations, ad hominem arguments, projection and gaslighting to disorient you and get you off track should you ever disagree with them or challenge them in any way. They do this in order to discredit, confuse and frustrate you, distract you from the main problem and make you feel guilty for being a human being with actual thoughts and feelings that might differ from their own. In their eyes, you are the problem if you happen to exist. This is also a popular form of diversion and cognitive distortion that is known as “mind reading.” Toxic people often presume they know what you’re thinking and feeling. They chronically jump to conclusions based on their own triggers rather than stepping back to evaluate the situation mindfully. They act accordingly based on their own delusions and fallacies and make no apologies for the harm they cause as a result. Notorious for putting words in your mouth, they depict you as having an intention or outlandish viewpoint you didn’t possess. They accuse you of thinking of them as toxic – even before you’ve gotten the chance to call them out on their behavior – and this also serves as a form of preemptive defense. The abuser hides behind a pseudonym,Waytools_support is a pseudonym. People who don't want companies cancelling their orders also go to lengths to stop their live orders being cancelled because the company is having a tantrum.
whereas the target is a real named entity, staff, and address. This asymmetry of identity is central to the tactic. The assumption here is that a tactic is being used. I asked questions, and quite reasonable ones at that, regarding the product and the article. Non WT employees seem to have no issue in answering them. WayTools support immediately launch into a flurry of personal attacks containing proven misinformation. One might be forgiven for thinking that is was a 'well poisoning' attack, but then I would have to be able to read you mind to know that for certain and make that claim. Wouldn't I?
I have refrained from making personal attacks, preferring to rely on fact, evidence and asking questions to clarify ambiguous positions.
Anonymous accusations made against a public target make clear who is doing what to whom.Again assuming there is some tactic being used. And again as a current customer I ask "cui bono?" What benefit is it to me if you never ship a product?
Hadn’t researched this before being accused,Had you not? That is interesting. What possible reason would you have for claiming prior ignorance of this?
but the technique is well-studied, and the correlation here is rather striking. All join in now: Correlation does not equal causation.
Anyone who wants to attack us, should direct it at us, and not at a reporter who covers a story. - Waytools 2016For someone willing to invoke this, you seem to be unwilling to deal with anyone's actual questions. Let alone whatever you perceive to be 'attacks'. I add this quote because I think it illustrates quite nicely the combative nature of interactions with WT. You are not treated as customers, but assailants.
