Apple releasing iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, tvOS 14 on September 16

Apple's 'Apple Watch Series 6' and iPad 'Time Flies' event will be on September 15
I am even more surprised that there is no mention of the HomePod mini. With a lot of people staying at home and quarantining due to Covid, now would be the perfect time to get folks used to using the HomePod instead of Alexa or the Google home. Those of us with iPads and phones and watches who want to stay in the Apple ecosphere would probably be buying a lot of those during quarantine. -

Siri will let users interact with apps when summoned on iPadOS 14
Yes, Siri does open apps. But it doesn’t close them and that would be useful. However it will go back to the home screen on command and that’s just as good.I suppose it’s a silly thing, but I would love for Siri to be able to tell me the pollen count. Whether it is grass or dander etc. or ragweed. I appreciate the weather information very much, but as an allergy sufferer I’d like that information too. And another feature that Alexa does that I would really love to see Siri do, even if it’s only when the weather information is asked, is I would like to be given any additional alerts that need to be made known. For example like a flood warning. I asked Alexa for the weather and she will tell me and then “ by the way, there’s A flood warning for your area etc. So long as this does not breach my privacy like Alexa does it would be the exact type of thing that would be very useful. -
