  • Apple will crush the DoJ in court if Garland sticks with outdated arguments

Maybe the problem is not that Apple is going to finally bring RCS to the iPhone in 2024.  Maybe the problem is that only Apple can bring RCS to the iPhone platform, instead of letting whatever app users choose provide RCS functionality on the iPhone platform, whether or not Apple thinks RCS is ready.
RCS needs to be integrated into the system and is not an add on app.
That's Apple's view.  But it doesn't need to be that way.  The DoJ's complaint here is that only Apple gets to decide whether RCS is a core system service or something that can be added on by an app.  If Apple were not a vertically-integrated monopoly, they would have to make a different decision.

Could be, and that would be a better point -- had the DoJ actually said that.
Don't they?  Item #89 of the DoJ's complaint reads "Apple has not [added support for RCS] yet, and regardless it would not cure Apple's efforts to undermine third-party messaging apps because third-party messaging apps will still be prohibited from incorporating RCS just as they are prohibited from incorporating SMS."

  • Netflix says use Safari on Apple Vision Pro, because you aren't getting an app

I can't remember if Netflix offered an app for the iPhone when it came out.
iPhone didn’t have an App Store when it came out.
And yet the iPhone did have Google Maps on it at launch, even without an app store.
You can bet that if Apple thought a Netflix app was critical to AVP then some money would change hands and there would be a native app.

  • Microsoft poised to overtake Apple as most valuable company

I can't point to much of what Microsoft is doing that another company isn't doing as well.

    Azure hasn't killed AWS.

Out of around 10 big cloud providers, Azure is the second biggest, and it's not even close. The market for cloud services isn't like the market for mobile operating systems -- there are going to be lots of winners. And so far, Azure is definitely one of them.
