Google is practically begging Apple to adopt RCS, but still isn't all-in itself
I’m a devout iPhone Apple ecosystem user, but I’d have no problem I’d Apple were to adopt RCS. In fact, I detest having the green bubble issue because so many other people I work with or in my family/friends don’t have iPhones, it destroys group chats. Incredibly frustrating!!!! If Apple were to adopt RCS I don’t see a mass exodus to Android, won’t happen. If anything they’ll be an even split of swap adopters AND I’d bet far more iPhone users would be much happier. I know quite a few users who would be too. -
Zuckerberg really wants iPhone users to shift to WhatsApp

Apple confirms Studio Display speaker fault, offers workaround
I find it absurd that Apple has had any difficulties with producing a monitor…a monitor that is still just their 27” LG sourced display used for years. This should have been a slam-dunk of design and reliability. What really disappoints me is I have an iMac Pro 2017 with its beautiful 5K screen, great webcam and adequate speakers - why couldn’t Apple have created Target Display Mode for Apple Silicon to Intel via TB3?! Yes, I know they want to sell these new displays, but they are just nothing special. Why couldn’t it had mini-LED arrays and Quantum Dots…then it would be worth $1500 (with stand).
in my book, the Studio Display is a hard foul tip out, while the Mac Studio is a home run. Hopefully Apple will correct this - and even offer a humble apology - with the up coming iMac Studio Pro, AND offer the Studio Display with the same mini-LED tech. -
M2 Pro, M2 Max MacBook Pro models could arrive by the fall
Where’s the Mac Pro? I wonder if they are waiting to release the M2 Extreme where 4 or more clusters work in concert? Where the M1 Mac had only one edge for their interconnect, perhaps the M2 Max could have 2 edge interconnects permitting 4 chips. Or maybe they’re working on a “co-processor” setup where the redundancies of multiple M2 Max chips are consolidated to a set of Maxes and a series of daughter chips permitting the user to configure the system to what best applies to their work: 4 GPU only chips added, 2 more 48-core CPU clusters, or more video coprocessors. This would permit an actual upgradable chassis component design. -
iPhone 14 could cost $100 more than iPhone 13
I’m seriously concerned that Apple is pushing the high-end limit - in phones and computers. I’ve been a longtime Apple proponent and user, but I see a day rapidly approaching that makes the cost so high as to be not worth the investment. Of course, I can buy whatever I want or afford, but it saddens me the tech that gave me a career may not be in my future arsenal. I believe that the Mac Studio Ultra I’m getting will probably be the last Mac I will buy. Only time will tell.
