First the plug thing now this...it won't be long before we're back to using big clunky products.

This is an update to the batteries directive. It's not something new. 

It's an attempt to bring the legislation into line with current EU goals with right to repair, consumer protection and information. 

There is quite literally a lot to like. 

The iPhone is a disposable item. By the time a battery needs replacing it is well past time for a new iPhone. As for right to repair. Don't care about having some untrained person w/o the proper tools trying to replace the battery in my sealed waterproof device. They should stick to selling screen protectors and cases.

Having Time Machine kick in every time your MBP is plugged in to power and on your home network is invaluable. I’ve kept a couple of old Time Capsules plus a third-party NAS connected to the Ethernet ports on newer mesh routers, so there are several redundant Time Machine backups always around. Sadly, that’s no longer a simple plug-and-play thing to set up. There should be more options out there for that.

Lower price very doubtful the Apple VisionQuest is equivalent to a MacBook Pro, or a high end iPad Pro both cost between 1900 and $2400 when priced in the Apple store, and that’s before the additional 11 cameras and the desktop class R1 co-processor thrown in to the mix…

The ace in the hole for the Apple Vision Pro is the ability to write software to go with the hardware, and there will be very talented people in the medical field that will write something that supports it. Grey’s Anatomy will never be the same.

Are you under the impression that developers haven’t been able to write software for other headsets?

The price and built quality are pretty nice, but ultimately this unit is pretty disappointing for people with modern machines. Hopefully Synology will wake up, figure out what year it is, and upgrade this model to modern specs before too long.
