  • iPhone 15 Pro might ditch gold in favor of blues and grays

Gotta bring back the military green colour (can’t remember what they called it) that they had with the iPhone 11 Pros. Still my favourite colour option they’ve ever come up with.
That color is officially called "olive drab." It was standard issue for fatigues during my service in the Vietnam era. Still in use for T-shirts and blankets. Many vehicles not deployed to desert areas are still olive drab too.

Not the greatest name for marketing purposes, though! Imagine, "Introducing the new iPhone 15 Pro, in stunning Olive Drab!"

  • The road to Steve Jobs' resignation, and the rise of Tim Cook as his successor

AAPL around the time of SJ's resignation: ~$55.

Now it's (approximately) four times that.
Not even close. Split adjusted, on August 12, 2011, Apple's stock price was $13.46. Today's close was at $176.38.

Total gain: 13.1 times, not four! Hope you invested then!

Yes, very yes to the blue depicted. Looks ultra high end as befits the high end iPhone!

Forget the gray. Everyone has gray. Like everyone else, I'd like to see a matte black iPhone, no matter what they call it.

Any word on what constitutes "eligible" for this bonus? I went to the Wallet app on my iPhone and clicked on the Apple Card.  Where would the notification be?

I got zilch. Who determines who is "eligible" and what is the metric for it? Is there a way to contact anyone about it?

FTA: “There is no need to enroll in the offer — eligible cardholders will automatically receive the offer between August 21 and September 20. Apple is sending emails to alert eligible cardholders of the offer.”

Try reading ALL the paragraphs. HTH.
I did read them. But the metrics Apple is using to determine "eligibility" are still totally opaque. Why don't you "read all the sentences" I wrote before spewing?

One important thing to say is that Tim Cook is no Steve Jobs. More importantly, he's no Michael Spindler, John Sculley, Mike Markkula, or Gil Amelio (Thanks be!). As a shareholder, it's gratifying to see Cook leave the vision thing to the visionaries, and run the business. And run the business he has. And he's made Apple investors trillions doing it!
