  • More Galaxy Note 7 fires reported as cryptic communications from Samsung complicate exchange proces

I laughed in disbelief at this slow motion train-crash - then realised people could be seriously hurt by this fiasco from this irresponsible company. So, part of me is horrified this this is continuing, and part of me is laughing. A bit ashamed by the latter emotion, but there it is.

And yet, I bet you they will continue to sell their shitty phones for years to come. I'm not sure what's more shocking - that depressing prediction or the explosive phones themselves.

  • Samsung suspends production of Galaxy Note 7, AT&T and T-Mobile stop offering replacements

...Samsung is now said to have temporarily suspended production of the jumbo-sized handset entirely...
Why only temporarily? Surely no-one is going to get a 2nd replacement, or buy a new Note 7 now?

And yet, having asked those seemingly sensible questions, I know there are still people recklessly using original Note 7's, (or replacements) knowing that they may catch fire at any moment - yet in denial of the dangers. I guess they rationalise it as a low probability and therefore very unlikely to happen to them. But, the fact is on-one knows how likely this is since there may be more instances to come. We only know how many have occurred, been reported and been confirmed. If the phones hadn't been recalled there may have been many more. Anyone who is continuing to use their original Note 7 is crazy - and the same goes for the replacement units too.

  • Two more Galaxy Note 7 phones catch fire, Samsung allegedly stonewalling users

Nothing against Samsung but if these genuine exploding Galaxy 7 continues than(at least) better FAA restricts Galaxy 7 to carry on board of passenger plane. Airport Security can confiscate it like other materials not allowed on plane for the safety of passengers and millions dollar plane and if plane crashes over populated area than those innocent people.
You do realise that would entail searching every person and bag and then identifying which phones were actually Note 7's rather than a similar looking phone. I'm not sure that is practical given everyone has a smartphone, and some carry more than one.

  • AT&T might halt Samsung Galaxy Note 7 sales due to safety risks, other carriers offer swaps

Bull shit.y these people are creating such lies.i have used the old note 7 as well as the new safe note 7.i didnt get any issues.wonderfull phone.i phone 7 has lot of issues.but still they didnt have the gut to accept it.samsung did.thats da way a company should be.we salute samsung and always with them
I realise you are just a (probably paid) troll and, therefore, don't expect a rational serious conversation, or even a reply.

However, why do you respect a company that shows zero respect for you - not for your money, and not for your safety? It's a serious question and I truly am interested in the answer. I see only disrespectful, deceitful lying theives whose only motivation seems to be to make a ton of money by any means possible. They have a long history of stealing patented ideas from other companies and showing scant regard for employee or customer safety. Why do you salute such a wicked company? I don't get it.

  • Apple Music, Spotify debut user-uploaded remixes via deal with Dubset

Good news. I'm interested to know how well this mixSCAN technology works. For example, it's perfectly possible to mangle samples beyond (human) recognition. How would this audio fingerprinting work with a sample that has distortion, delay, reverse, time-stretch etc effects applied? It's not unheard of for bands/remixers to get away with never obtaining a license for material they've sampled purely because it's been so skilfully mangled up (The Orb are a band who are brilliant at this).
