'Fortnite' antisteering mandate punishment 'fundamentally unfair' says Apple
9secondkox2 said:Apple did nothing wrong.Epic created a gigantic case just to get the courts to settle for something smaller. Unfortunately it worked. And now apple is supposed to give free access to competitors.Apple has the right to charge whatever they want. If they want to charge a developer 99% for being listed on the store, they can do thst. But they’d lose partners. That’s how the free market works.27% is fair. And if they want to go to 20%, that’s fair too.But to try to force them to take nothing? That’s criminal.
This is just like tariffs. 😒 -
Apple is once again advertising on X, more than a year after stopping all ads on the platf...

I mean, I guess you could move to Canada and live in a tech free cabin, but it'll apparently be the 51st state so you can't escape for long. -

EU has very serious issues with Apple, says competition chief
9secondkox2 said:The “very serious issues” are:
1) Apple is an AMERICAN company
2) Apple is wildly successful
3) Apple is not currently the EU’s welfare program.Apple has already complied perfectly with the ridiculous rules set forth by the corrupt EU.
For some incompetent reason, the EU has since allowed Apple’s competitors determine how well Apple has followed the one-sided rules and based their follow-up attacks against Apple n the complaints of greedy companies. It’s rather pathetic. Need to get some grown ups to take over the mess that is the EU.
What amazes me is that Apple has convinced a lot of the people that they are the victims from these regulations. Somehow, the EU is viewed that they are somehow just going after Apple. These regulations are put in place to go after monopolies, and unfortunately, Apple is one on iOS. -
Japan could be next to force third-party app stores on Apple
spheric said:So… lots of countries/regions all coming to the same conclusion about Apple's App Store.
The opinionati on AppleInsider:a) EU investigates: Protectionism to cover the fact that they are technologically incompetent! Corruption!
b) US DOJ investigates: Political activism!
c) Japan investigates: Revenge for "sliding down" in the tech industry
d) Korea investigates: Corrupt protectionism (also, as seen here: Revenge for "sliding down" in the tech industry — except Samsung is constantly one of the top 2 smartphone manufacturers globally)
I look forward to many more creative explanations that blame anything but Apple.
I had someone on here tell me that they're pissed because they'll be given a choice. Go figure.
