  • iPhone 17 Air's battery life could be the shortest in years

Seems like a silly tradeoff.   I foresee an opportunity for battery case makers, negating Apple’s bragging rights for the thinnest iPhone ever.   Perhaps they will lower the price on the16 series to something more reasonable.   Staying with refurbished 13 mini (with battery case) for the time being.

  • iPhone 17 Air may debut advanced silicon battery for more efficient charging

Are people really clamoring for thinner phones at the expense of battery life?   I foresee a market opportunity for battery cases.   I added one myself to iphone mini 13.

  • Apple about to launch accessory discount with in-store recycling promotion

I was excited to hear about this promotion until they mentioned the $20 cap.  Sheesh.

  • Mastercard may be in for a fight to stay Apple Card network provider

I have had a Platinum level Amex card since 1968. (Before it became Amex it was Patterson Travel Service) The number of places that accept the card has dwindled every year. It is our travel card for airline tickets and hotels and is the card to have in an emergency. The long term relationship is a plus in our credit rating.

We also have CostCo City Bank and Apple Pay that I carry daily. We usually get more than $1k back annually for each of these accounts.

We have Wells Fargo accounts at a local branch used for cash access with our debit cards and handling the "Old Folks" accounts.

Amex worked okay for CostCo for us and was still accepted in the UK CostCo last time we were over there.

So having the three top Financial flavors in hand is okay with us. Really have no preference which way Apple goes as it will be transparent to us, the users.
Wow, you really seem proud of yourself.  Please, tell us more.  What brand of toilet paper do you use?

  • Apple quietly launches new app to help firms improve Apple Maps

I was in my front yard when the Apple mapping car drove by.   That was about 5 years ago and they still haven’t posted Look Around in my city.   Google’s Street View shows my house as it was in 2011, so 14 years and counting
