  • Why Walmart still won't accept Apple Pay

I get around Walmart not accepting my ApplePay by using my American Express which has the highest merchant fee, or if I have the time and know exactly what I need I place the order online for in store pickup and the online has ApplePay as a payment option. Screw Walmart!!

  • Unionized Apple Store seeks pay raises, customer tips

The Towson, Maryland Apple Store that unionized is entering negotiations again, with workers seeking the ability to accept customer tips.

Finally, the customer tip change. Workers want to give customers the opportunity to tip at checkout at 3%, 5%, or a custom amount.

"This will allow thankful patrons the ability to express gratitude for a job well done without any obligations," the union wrote Apple. "All monies collected through this manner would be dispersed to members of the bargaining unit biweekly based on any hours worked."

I’ve been supporting Apple Products for over 40 years and also moderate our Local Mac Users Group and I don’t expect any tips for my support. I do this because of my love and belief in Apple Products and it’s mission to its customers. As for the wanting pay increases they probably have no one to blame but themselves, who probably voted in this current administration, who has pushed our economy into the sewer.

  • Intel to build $20 billion chip factory in Ohio

I'm not sure about the rest of them, but CMU is a three hour drive from there.

Three hours is a typical commute in Silicon Valley, and 3000 jobs is just the Intel jobs that doesn’t take into account all the support business’ that will pop up to fill the ongoing support needs of a Fab Facility. By keeping technology in the region other tech businnes’ might spring up creating a technology center where local engineering schools can send students for internships.

  • Apple turns macOS up to 11 - or to 10.16

It might be MacOS 11.0 because it’s running on a A12Z Bionic Computer not on a standard Intel system which would then be MacOS 10.16

  • 2018 MacBook Air Retina display spec changed to 400 nits, but hardware is unchanged

Sounds like some “nit” picking to me.
