  • Apple developing own iPhone cellular modem, hirings and insiders say

Apple charges $130 for a modem/cellular radio for the iPad, and $100 for the Watch. I doubt very much they cost Apple anywhere near that.

I further doubt we'd see a significant, if any price drop in retail pricing. At best, Apple might go to their previous pricing model— more features and/or performance for the same price. And I wouldn't expect that to last.

  • Review: 'Apple Pencil 2' is a huge step forward but still not perfect

My biggest problem with the Apple Pencil 2 is that it does not do much outside of drawing and notetaking. I feel like you should be able to do a lot more than that. The pencil does not interact with apps like Safari and many other Apple apps.
The next Pencil will be made of recycled aluminium. You'll be able to use it as shuriken, jabbing people in the jugular, and to better throw it up into the ceiling when not engaging ninjas.

You know, all the things you do with regular No. 2 pencils when not drawing or taking notes.

  • Apple offers 10 percent discount online to veterans & active duty US military

Interesting. There appears to be no supporting documents required to make a purchase, other than the declaration in the agreement. It opens the doors to misuse. Not that we should were the DD214 on our sleeves like service stripes... Of course, a 214, endorsed drivers license, or Active or Veteran's ID would be a little impractical for online use.

But it's an appreciated gesture on Apple's part, and pays the CA sales tax. It's a deal for states with lower or no sales tax. Thanks, Apple.

  • Here are some of the best keyboard choices for your new Mac mini

I have the Logitech K811 keyboard for a few reasons, and none of them are quality.

Having used Logictech keyboards for years, it's because they've been cheap and or have features I want. But none feel particularly good.

I like the Apple chiclet keyboards ok, but they work with only one device at a time and aren't illuminated. And I prefer more key travel. I put up with the Apple keyboards with their included.

The Matais Tactile Pro is an excellent keyboard, but not illuminated, and noisy. It sounds cool with all the clicky-clacky, but that gets old quick. I like Micro-Soft ergo keyboards and my old Adesso ergo was very comfortable. They no longer make Mac specific versions, but I may still try one out. There's a version with a trackball and one with a track pad, if your a savage. But— not illuminated.

A BT, ergo, Mac keyboard with illumination and a pointing device, switchable between 2 or better, 3 devices, and mechanical keys would be my perfect trackpad.

  • iPhone XR demand reportedly forcing Apple to cut production expansion plans

how about Apple stop making the same phone year after year come up with a new concept or a new UI  They act like we care about faster this and faster that we want a new phone  I refused the update I will stay with my X Until I am impressed
    Wonderful first post. Except:

“I think your responsibility actually goes further back than that. It starts with the determination not to fall into the trap of just making things different. Because when a product has been highly regarded there is often a desire from people to see it redesigned. I think one of the most important things is that you change something not to make it different but to make it better."  –Jony Ive
