  • Harman's JBL Legend CP100 CarPlay receiver to launch Feb. 14 for $400

Pretty sure it requires wifi not Bluetooth. You can stream audio over Bluetooth but not video. From what I can recal reading/seeing in the keynote was that it would require a wifi connection. That would make it similar to AirPlay to an TV.
This. Everything I've read so far seems to point to WiFi being the requirement. I won't spill on any of these units until they support wireless CarPlay.
It is over Bluetooth 4.2 not and Wifi. From the article I have posted in the previous post:

I edited the post after checking my iPhone. If you have either Wifi or BT off it will tell you it needs them on. So it seems to require both BT and WiFi to work.

Doesn't it remember the connection like other BT devices?
Yes it can remember the connection, but I personally don't leave bluetooth active all day as I'm sure others don't. If I had more requests for Apple or Android Pay I might decide I should leave it connected but so far I've had two lone customers inquirer about it in the 9 days I've had it, and only one of them was interested in using it. The other was simply curious.
This is something I don't understand. If you have BT accessories why do you keep turning off BT?! I have Bluetooth on all the time since I need it to connect to my Apple Watch, my car infotainment, and Automatic device in my car. I usually get more than 11 hours of usage and 30 hours of stand by.

  • 'iPhone 7' to return to flat back without visible antenna bands - report

This year I will upgrade my iPhone. The question is if I will get a 6S + case (that protruding lense...) or a more expensive 7. Until now, I see no reason to spend the extra 100€...
Thanks to Apple iPhone Upgrade Program I will be upgrading my iPhone every year

I have a 2013 15 inch rMBP. Im still 'wow'd' at how great it is. Cant see myself upgrading(unless on a whim) for a long time. [as I pound away on my 'newer' work computer(windows7/Dell tech computer)... that is utter and complete - ewww and yuck]
I still use 2011 15" MBP and I don't see my self upgrading any time soon. I upgraded the RAM and replaced the HDD with SSD a month after buying it in 2011. The thing is still a beast.

Great, now we need Ghostery for tvOS?
No. This is about anonymous app usage data Apple send to app developers. Read the last paragraph.
