ARM is performing BETTER than Intel mobile performance TODAY.
So leverage ARM for where it is superior and leave Intel on the desktop. Apples software ecosystem has been co-existing on ARM and Intel ever since the iPhone debuted so it's not like this is a huge technical challenge for them.
I don't see Apple focusing on high end ARM desktop chips - unless they have to. I think they would switch to AMD from Intel before they release an all ARM Mac lineup. I have no doubt the MB Air will one day sport an ARM CPU and the vast (VAST!) majority of people won't care; aside from the dramatically better performance, battery life and reduced heat.
I'm more than ready for a MBA with ARM and a non-butterfly keyboard next year. C'mon Apple!
The titanium is intriguing, but I still prefer the lightest weight option - aluminum. Which, as a Cheap Bastard™, also rewards me from that perspective too
It's nice that all the aluminum colors are the same price now - charging more for black when it debuted was obnoxious.
The Milanese Loop is indeed a work of metal art, but I've been extremely pleased with the velcro loop bands (whatever they call them) - light weight and astonishingly durable. I garden and do other crap with the watch on and the dirt rinses right out and the band dries amazingly fast. Whatever material Apple made them from was chosen wisely!
Meh - not impressed as a stand alone service. Signed up with the Disney+ Founders special (3 years for $140) mainly because it's Disney and the back catalog is enormous. If I were to do it, as some others pointed out I'd sign up for a month, binge watch a few shows and probably un-sub. Just not enough there to justify a continual subscription.
However what was brilliant is the "buy an Apple device and get a year free". That was very smart. As I said in another thread, look how long it took Amazon Prime Video to ramp up. It has a much deeper catalog than Apple and was also included for free as part of another offering. Streaming is about momentum and habits, so whoever came up with the bundle with hardware took a page from the Amazon playbook with an Apple spin - bravo! AppleTV+ might not be stillborn after all.

Given that they introduced the new 10.2 in this event.. does that mean there is no more special event for iPad Pro? And no new iPAD Pro for this year............ Kind of confusing.. leaving those of us interested in limbo! ......... Why introduce the 10.2 at this event .. if there will be another iPad event? Makes no sense!
