  • Apple earns record $64B in fourth quarter as services soar to $12.5B

You might want to save that fine crow for New Year.

iPhone was down nearly 10% YoY.

The blowout quarter is next up and might prove to be a turnaround moment but even then, it will be a hard slog through to the iPhone 12 (and 5G).

I'm guessing China has left a gaping hole in handset revenues.
The most successful company on earth just had another record shattering quarter, beating all expectations yet again, and you have the trollish gall to use words like "slog"? A "slog" compared to what, exactly? Some company on another planet? iPhone sales don't need to grow forever. No sane person thinks they can.  Apple's services segment is growing at a massive pace, and Apple is making all the right moves to strengthen and expand it's amazing ecosystem.

  • Nancy Paxton, voice of Apple earnings calls, to retire after 33 years at Apple

Jumping ship because of Apple's lack of innovation and Tim Cook's incompetence, right guys?

  • Editorial: Following Fold fiasco, Samsung fields a flexible flip-phone

Pathetic company, that prides itself on releasing "gadgets" instead of serious, reliable products. If they had a shred of humility or long term sense, they would wait a few months to discover issues from the Fold being used in the real world, instead of spamming out another product right away. Its like an attention seeking teenager that cant stand being out of the spotlight for a few moments. Why not wait till you can unveil the actual product close to release? Why the need for these 3D renders? Hilarious.

  • Future iPhone screen could simulate surface textures and temperatures for AR

Apparently some “creative” engineers have no way to be heard by the management other than filing a patent... And HomePods get bricked while they are so busy with their epiphanies...
You're under the impression the researchers patenting new technology within Apple are the same software engineers responsible for the HomePod OS bug? That's absurd.
I am under the impression that a few core teams are overloaded while others are busy with filing their epiphanies.
Maybe you should apply to consult about their team management? Cause obviously Apple doesn't know what the fuck it's doing, just a massive fucking mess with failure after failure. Thank God for people like you, who obviously know better, and have an intimate understanding of Apple's internal team structures and how they should be improved.

  • macOS Catalina 10.15.1 is now available with opt-in Siri review, support for AirPods Pro

I wonder if they fixed the incredibly buggy Finder in 10.15.0. It's completely unusable.

I've been using Catalina for several hours every single day since launch, and spend most of the time in the finder, and have had exactly zero issues. But sure, whatever you say, "completely unusable".
