That’s the thing, Apple is not selling tech, tech is a means to get there. They’re selling a brand that comes with a set of values and expectations from the client. 

If if you are only selling tech, well what will happen when the next tech comes along.

Apple IS selling TECH! While the iPhone is designed to last 3-4 years. Most people upgrade every 12-24 months. Driven by the need for the latest greatest tech!  The reason Apple is successful is becuase they strive to be luxury tech with a sticky ecosystem and a branded set of values that keep people loyal 

They just want to get the highest value, they do have a point about the potential of the company they are acquiring as well as the technology for 5g the are doing r&d for

The lcd model will have an interior camera compared to the oled 

For Apple, I thinks it’s more about best price and target metrics.

i think Apple is working with intel on 5g modems so they can own the patent rights to that cellular modem tech. 

I also wouldn’t be surprised if Apple or Tim Cook called Broadcom and encouraged them to move in on qcom.  Apple won’t buy them, but Apple can encourage someone else to make the problem go away. 

IF i had to take a guess, it’s liberating. Because if have him more control. What is one of the reasons a regular shoot takes 6-8 weeks. Set up, and multiple takes. And large crews and casts.  Remember he wrote sex lies and videotape in a single week.  Using iPhones probably gives him freedom to move around and not lug around 10k cameras on tracks and Dolly’s and such.  It also allows for him to shoot in an unobtrusive way which. Helps get more realistic performances becuase they may or may not realize the camera is there.
