More iOS 11 software examination shows evidence of wireless charging in iPhone
Inductive charging benefits...
power cases... will no longer need to use the lightning port to charge your phone..
honwstly inductive charging is one step closer to removing all wires from the equation. How much money do you spend on lightning cords? How many do you have? How often do you replace them because they fray or break?

Further delves into the leaked iOS 11 'gold master' reveal Face ID setup animation
According to rumors, Apple has been "struggling" to keep Touch ID active in the iPhone X. Touch ID would be in the other 2 phone, so it would stand to reason that apple pay must recognize both face id and Touch ID as verified forms of authentication. Wether they are used individually or pairs together, remains to be seen.

Analyst predicts Apple supplier stranglehold on 'iPhone 8' 3D sensing tech impacting Chine...
foggyhill said:gmgravytrain said:If this story is true, it may give Apple some helpful advantage for six months. I'm sure most Android manufacturers are going to stay with fingerprint readers as unlocking devices until they find out that Apple's tech is hugely successful. At that point, they'll all rush to whatever tech Apple is using as the initial fears will be removed. Apple will have already absorbed all the fear, doubts and skepticism of the new tech. I can certainly understand many companies not wanting to take the risk. Wall Street will still say Apple is behind the rest of the smartphone industry, so nothing will change. I think it really does take 'courage' for a company to dump a proven technology and go with something new but Apple will likely be mocked, as usual. I believe Apple's new FacialID tech will be accepted by most users as long as it's secure, accurate and as fast as TouchID.
It will be interesting to hear what Qualcomm has to say about being very close to Apple in terms of quickly getting facial recognition on Android smartphones. I'm sure Qualcomm is going to have something to say about this. That Qualcomm CEO is very protective of his company and he surely won't allow anyone to think Qualcomm is behind any competitors.
That means it won't make it until early 2019 in something like the S10.
Qualcom is about to get its financials ripped out of it by Apple and others. It can try all it wants, it's in the ropes now. -
