  • France & Netherlands among EU countries considering pursuing share of Apple taxes

It's just political greed. Apple isn't breaking any tax laws doing this. Ireland has traded jobs and economic growth in exchange for extending a lower tax rate to corporations like apple. When you stop and think about it, what are these countries gonna do with the billions of taxes that Apple supposedly owes. And just because Apple has accrued billions of dollars, doesn't mean that they won't look for loopholes in taxes to save billions more.  As said above. Apple and Ireland are agreeing to do this together.  See, Ireland could have said pay the 13b, but they know that will cost jobs and hurt there overall economy.
I'm surprised that uk hasn't gone after Apple and Ireland for this. Ironically it's in apples interest for pm May to trigger the article 50 lol  After all what will happen when Ireland is no longer part of the Eu?

  • Apple defends decision to ditch 3.5mm jack, says AirPods development began years ago

People complain "how am I going to listen to music when I'm charging my air pods..." The same way you listen to music when your charging your wireless headphones you have now...  I havnt used the 3.5mm headphone jack in years.

I use my wireless headphones on planes every time I travel. Even during take off and landing. And I've never had an issue.

My only question is why they skipped wireless charging this time around...

For all we know, Apple could have leaked the news or removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack themselves to monitor public opinion of the decision.

Apple removed it,  third party will provide solutions.

Apple's not gonna create a case with a 3.5mm jack built in because that would undermine there decision. One. And two, the dongle is meant to be a temporary fix not a permanent one.

All I hear when reading these comments are people who are whining about petty stuff.

You don't like the airpods... Then don't buy them. Simple as that.  There is a very competitive market that will offer new solutions to this temporary problem.

  • BlackBerry CEO says Apple's security stance puts company over 'greater good'

The blackberry CEO is indirectly saying he doesn't believe apple when they say they have no access. If you read between the lines. He's saying because of that the government will require mandatory backdoors. And he is trying to blame apples principals for this piece of legislation.

  • Apple announces it will offer App Store subscriptions to all apps, take smaller 15% cut

I smell a tv subscription service coming. I also suspect this new revenue framework is what apple had to agree to in order to get apps like Amazon prime television to agree to be in the tv App Store. And cable networks to agree to there skin bundle for a tv subscription
