Actually the case was overturned and a settlement was reached.

Which means they never one! Actually, it was overturned once GWB was inaugurated on a technicality. Bill suddenly had friends on the hill that saved him. But since it was the GOP, I guess that that's ok...

souliisoul, don't be too bothered by this guy: he can hold two perfectly contradictory thoughts in his brain, and not even realize that's what he is doing!

It is either naivete or lack of ability to comprehend. In either event, let him rant away with his anti-Apple, anti-'3rd world', anti-whatever else venting. Hopefully, one day soon, he'll run out things to vent about...

Oh, he'll never stop ranting, he has nothing positive in his life, so venting his anger takes the place of happiness for him. A poor substitute to be sure, but it's all he has.

And, I'll take it upon myself to apologize on behalf of the United States to the rest of the world for his hate speech. He's an embarrassment to this country, and everything it is supposed to stand for.

    1. I'm never "riled up" when responding to you. It's impossible to be mad at you and feel sorry for you at the same time.

    2. I don't think you're losing it ... I'm sure of it, based on everything you write. Just so you won't think I'm ignoring you I have to sign off for a couple of days ... nothing to do with you, it's just that ..... I have a life, and it calls.

He made a beautiful industry that promised a wonderful computing time and gates shredded it

gates made p/cs hard to work

    confusing

    100 percent not fun

    crashes after crashes

days upon days of re installing this and that with tech help giving a different work around each time out. The sheer dread of trying to get your new printer to simply print.

fat sloppy un workable code . data that goes missing but then that porn you down loaded never seems to go away.,

    on and on

i truly hate this guy for making opening a computer a scary thing for the average 6 pack joe

msft was so bad that when apple OS was real bad and weak . it still looked great compared to gates ,

millions of us could of lived a better more fun life if they had a great msft system

fanboys arte people who are free thinkers and were forced for some time to use a wintel machine

when we opened our first APPPLE BOX with those multi colored apple stickers and in mere minutes we were flying free..... so happy so alive

Sorry you're so offended but Gates if nothing is a great businessman. Trillions wouldn't be using MS products if it were as bad as some posters here want us to believe.

I love Apple products, specifically it's OS because it appeals to my sensibilities, but refuse to cult worship Steve Jobs. Some on here act as if he invented the binary system. Whatever.

Besides the fact that he is not the first to discover, conceive or use the binary system, the concept of inventing the binary system as if it didn?t exist prior to man?s acknowledgment is like saying Newton invented gravity or Franklin invented electricity.

Well, no one could actually be as stupid as you pretend to be, so I'll take that post as a sign you may have a sense of humor. Fortunately, I wasn't drinking my coffee yet when I read it.

What's gong on between you two- it reads like a cat fight!

What did he do to make the mouse roar? Not bash MS? Curious as to what you find so appalling.

As for baseless- ask yourself - when exactly did Bill Gates make his fortune and how large is it. 'nuff said.

Bill made his fortune AFTER Jobs did. Microsft was just starting out by the time Apple already established itself as a fortune 500 company.

Microsoft has made a few products on its own: Applesoft BASIC (FP) as well as a few other compilers (Pascal I believe), and I'll give them credit for MS Word & PowerPoint (though it was not much different from MacWrite.)

Everything else has been a rip-off: (Excel ripped from Lotus who ripped from Visicalc... DOS wasn't even writen by MS, and the list goes on... and on .... and on...)

And yes.... Jobs was first to make the big bucks too.... so what exactly is your point?

    So who inspired who?

Historical point of order: Microsoft Multiplan (the predecessor to Excel) was released in 1982. Lotus 1-2-3 came along the following year.

I didn't search on this at first but seeing you disagree I decided to look it up.

"He occupies a grand place in both the history of philosophy and the history of mathematics. He invented infinitesimal calculus independently of Newton, and his notation has been in general use since then. He also invented the binary system, the foundation of virtually all modern computer architectures. "

I have to laugh at people like you that get so upset and actually start to hate a person simply because they disagree with you on a topic. Mouse your a joke, embrace it.
