Choosing between a Dell, HP, Toshiba, Acer are the options the far majority of people choose. Windows is not a choice.

They are, however, bound to whatever the content providers want them to use, and right now that's Flash, for better or worse. Even the Hulu desktop applications use Flash. Again, it's not about security. It's about you watching the shows they way that they want to provide them to you to protect older revenue streams. No more, no less.

The studios are not forcing Hulu to provide content in Flash specifically. ABC, NBC, CBS all provide H.264 streams that are viewable on either the iPhone or iPad. The use of Flash is about security and the ability to show commercials. Which HTML5 video is not set up to provide in the same way. The only thing that is holding up a native Hulu app is negotiations over a direct payment revenue model.

From that fact that one OS is used on 90% of the computers around the world. In what scenario do the majority of people walk into any computer retailer and make the OS a major part of their purchase? What selections are they choosing from?
