Calm down, Okie, who's getting cocky? Our offensive line played like garbage, I didn't say any different.
However, our problems on OL were correctable.

who's getting excited? just stating the obvious. problem with posting online is you can't really tell how someone is really trying to come across without using those dumbass smileys. had more i was going to post but got busy here at work. just a little ribbing is all. hopefully our offensive and special team woes are correctable as well. the way i see it, the big 12 hasn't been to impressive yet, exception going to iowa state. k-state maybe, but they have yet to play anyone. intresting to see how it all shakes out.
I don't know how correctable OU's offensive issues are since White seems to be out for the year (which is a damned shame for him, both knees have blown out now).
So you guys have Nate "Twinkletoes" Hybl as the starter and when (not if, when) he goes down it's at least two weeks until Rawls is back from a hand injury and after Rawls it's two true freshman, Paul Thompson and Noah Allen.
But the defense will be solid, and in the end that's what matters for OU.
I predict that Texas will be national champions and defeat the glorious UCLA Bruins in the national championship game. Chris Simms is a god among mortals. Mack Brown will revel in knowing that for all of eternity he will be revered as the most underrated coach in American and poor Bob Toledo will have to settle for being second most underrated coach in America.
Using "glorious" and "UCLA Bruins" in the same sentence is sick and wrong, even if you're kidding, and even if "glorious" does not immediately precede "UCLA Bruins," which is did in this case, making this assertion twice as sick and wrong.

not mention your forgetting one important factor...miami.

bummer about white, but strangely enough i'm not too worried about the hybl situation as i was last year. he looked far more comfortable in the offense than white did saturday, even under pressure. not having rawls back yet makes me a bit nervous, but what can you do? if he goes down, he goes down. it will get worked out one way or another.
Magic, you think ND can get 9 field goals against Michigan? They just barely beat Purdue.
Is there anyone in the country that isn't going to be cheering for the Vols that day. Most of us suspect our teams are going to lose at least one. And who else is could Miami lose too?

uh, it will be 2 field goals +21 points the other way; )
Oklahoma athletics director Joe Castiglione has contacted Moore with the intention of postponing the 2003 game because the Sooners have two traditional powers -- Alabama and UCLA -- on their schedule next season.
[quote]Oh no, let's not play two decent teams in the same year OOC!

Hardly anyone wants to schedule more than one competent opponent OOC anymore. If one were to take a look at the Texas Longhorn's schedules in recent years and this year and in the future it is clear that Texas has the exact same philosophy. But at least they scheduled right the first time and didn't have to backtrack later on as Mobilehoma is having to do now.
Btw, UCLA still didn't make the Rose Bowl in 97, WSU did. And they did make it in 98 but lost to a bunch of slow ass honkies from Wisconsin. Last Rose Bowl win for UCLA was in...dunno...but it has been about 20 years. Well before Shanny started watching the Gilmore Girls.

If UT goes into UNC and beats the Bejeezus out of them at home by 40+ then maybe I'll let them have the #5 slot.
Until further games are played, Miami is currently ranked 1-5 on the Groverat Poll.

they look absolutely badass. it's quite scary. if they stay healthy, there is no stopping them.

That offense is going to lay a fat goose-egg, your sights are set way too high.
1998 UCLA 49 - UT 31
I guess you guys were formidable 5 years ago, though.
Have fun with another 4 loss season.

Pretty soon OU will be calling it "The Sooner or later we'll have a schedule as tough as Kansas State's Schooner."
