Like the non-functioning Samsung Tab that came out right after the iPad 2 saying it's thinner despite actual side-by-side comparisons empirically debunking that claim. How do you mess up a mockup that only has to display a lopping video and stay constantly connect to a power source? Better question, why do you lie about it?
They may not be. I would still say that Apple needs to be cognizant of the way their actions are perceived and reported by the media.
Interesting that The Register today makes the same point that Apple's recent propensity to sue any and all mobile competitors may be perceived as desperation by some.

Yes, you can see my comments on this thread (http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=123162). It's rubbish, conjecture and doesn't even make any sort of a reasonable case for how Apple is "getting desperate". It's not even written by The Register.
I'll repeat here: "Signs of desperation". Yes, Windows "won". Yes, Android "won" in the smartphone space. Yes, Android may "win" in the tablet space. And what has Apple done while "losing"? Become more successful than ever before.
It may not have any basis in fact. But my opinion is still that Apple needs to be acutely aware of the perception their recent legal actions have with the media, and thus the public.

Yes, I dare say people will stop buying iPads because they heard tech nerds on internet blogs opining that litigation among CE companies means Apple is desperate.
