yeah, that is a great song.

radiohead is an ausome band, my favorite album is 'the bends' but i dont actually own newer ones, just heard them once or twice.

though not very similar, listening to radiohead and this other band Pulp together really works, they sorta compliment eachother. . .

Nirvana was a one hit wonder. If Cobain didn't blow his head off it might have been different. Maybe.

Nobody interested in how Radiohead pulled off doing a Carly Simon? Very well I must say. That takes balls...

Nivana is one of the best bands ever. One hit wonder?

Every song on Nevermind is awesome, particularly Lithium, In Bloom, On a Plain, and of course, Smells Like Teen Spirit. Other songs to check out are Heart Shaped Box, Dumb, Very Ape, Pennyroral Tea, and All Apologies, all from In Utero, and then there's Dive, Sliver, and Been a Son from Incesticide. Great songs, great band.

mmmm radiohead... Brooding, gutsy music. Love the band, have almost all the albums. Very addicting for me, emotion based music and intelligent lyrics that you HAVE to think about to understand.

I would love to see them in concert

Actually nearly every major critic and music site would place Nirvana in its top 10 bands of all time. Nevermind is on VH1's list of best rock albums ever, comnig in at #2, just behind the Beatles.

They are un-freakin'-believeable live. So incredibly talented. Their studio albums are so well-engineered, you have to wonder how well they can pull it off live. Well, they can, somehow. If you don't have it already, you should get "i might be wrong: live recordings" It's from their last tour. 8 songs, live. And it's awesome.

um... VH1 is hardly a source to go to for best of lists...look at the artists they interview and poll.

and no surprise nirvana would be ranked so high on a music video channel since nirvana basically gave life to MTV and VH1 in the early 90s

VH1? That's quality for you... That said, Nirvana's nevermind was one of the most influential albums of the 90's. They were good, but certainly not great.

If Cobain hadn't killed himself, I think that they coulda been. Too bad. (He was born on my birthday and he also played left-handed guitar. freaky.) RIP, I guess.

You should please shut the **** up about Nirvana. They are indeed one of the greatest bands ever. Cobain is a legend and even their drummer spawned a decent gig with the Foo Fighters. Compile a list of songs as long and as good as this from any other group in the last 15 years.

    About A Girl

    Love Buzz

    Heart Shaped Box

    Rape Me

Francis Farmer WIll Have Her Revenge On Seattle

    Dumb

    Pennyroyal Tea

    All Apologies

    Dive

    Silver

    Been A Son

    Big Long Now

    Aneurysm

    Smells Like Teen Spirit

    In Bloom

    Come As You Are

    Breed

    Lithium

    Polly

    Lounge Act

    On A Plain

    Something In The Way

    Lake Of Fire

    Oh Me

    Plateau

The Man Who Sold The World

Where Did You Sleep Last Night

I really like OK Computer, which if you know me may come as a surprise. . . . I consider "Ride The Lightning" to be the best rock album ever made. . . Though unfortunately I don't really like the other Radiohead albums.

please.... get a life... no one is saying Nirvana wasn't a great band. But they were no where near the best band ever as originally claimed.

For that look elsewhere. Because Nirvana certainly isnt it.

And yes, I could compile a list similar to yours of several other bands from the last 15 years but why? To prove what is so blatantly obvious already?

Those last 5 aren't their songs.

Actually, someone is arguing that Nirvana isn't great (bitterman). Greatest ever is a silly point of discussion.
