Apparently the prices of LCD screens have gone up 25% and the price of RAM has gone up 200%. He is saying that they are raising the price of the imac!!!
Looks like a price raise $100, $150, $200 on the three models. Unbelievable!

Shit. Just goddammit. ****. Jesus Christ.
<---- The sounds of the mac collective as the iMac suddenly becomes much less attractive in the eyes of reviewers- translating into poorer sales and a whole cycle of misery.
Since there is a shortage of iMac's, could this be a way to reduce demand while milking those who will buy the computer and in turn increasing their profits? I think when supplies get better.. the price will go down. This may turn out to be a good economic decision on Apple's part- temporarily I hope.
Top end iMac now matches price of equivalent Dell (with DVD burner). This will certainly mean less sales of the top end one for the time being. No problem. Apple needs to make a profit on their sales. There are plenty of people who will still purchase. As I stated in a post over a month ago, LCD prices have indeed skyrocketed due to overwhelming demand and low production capacity. That's the way it is.

Cool! Now if only I could sync my Clie WITH a wire in OS X, I'd be pretty happy...
When did they try this last time ?
Remember when they had to downgrade the G4 machines by 50 Mhz and wanted to keep the old prices ?
There was an outrage...
Everybody order at third-party resellers right now if you want your iMac at current prices
I guess everyone will raise prices by tomorrow.
Moreover, the connector by USB is sold from April for $49 and 6000 yen. In Japan, it is May. 10:55"
