The Fed Ex guy rang my bell about 30 minutes ago. I was ready, so I quickly went downstairs and when he handed over the package, he was smiling and said "You seem eager to be getting this package." I laughed and replied "Yeah, and I'm pretty sure that you know what's inside the package too". The Fed Ex guy laughed back and said "Yep, I sure do.".

The dead give away should have been when you noticed that the FedEx guy was only wearing a bandana and black socks.
I'm really surprised you are so excited about your new iPad delivery. My new iPad also came this morning. I wasn't dancing at the door waiting for the FedEx guy so we didn't have the same jovial exchange of excitement. It was pretty boring actually.
Anyway, so I promptly opened the packaging and fired 'er up. First thing I notice during boot is that from the onset this doesn't feel much different than the iPad 2. Also, the magic of the previous iPad openings was mostly lost. It has been a few months since I sold my 2, so it was good to hold one again, but none of that "zomg this thing is sexy" feelings.
Once I got through activation (why is there activation for wifi model again?), my not-so-mind-blowing experience continued. Since I didn't have much time to play with it, I opened up Safari and loaded a page. Pretty sharp, looks good. But still, this is pretty much the same experience. Next up, took some photos and a brief video. Not impressed. No big deal, I'll never use the camera anyway.
So after checking out all of the new features, I was left feeling kind of meh about it. I'm sure I'll enjoy the better display, but I am left feeling disappointed. The magic is gone from my previous experiences.
So what's that now, 3 iPads, an iPhone, 2 Macs, a dozen Android phones and a couple of Android tablets? You're going to make DaHarder jealous.
Google Earth is kinda' sucky -- they need to scale the text for the increased resolution -- not particularly fast either...
Guess the GOOG didn't get any special prerelease access to new iPad... I wonder why?
Google has never been properly appreciated by apple neither for the laborious note taking efforts during board meetings, nor for their copious prototype tracking within apple's campus.
They are lucky Steven didn't stick around a bit more, cause he WOULD have used every last penny of apple's money in the bank to kill off android.
This is just a little test. I'm testing out the new dictation feature on the new iPad. I'm not doing any auto correction now and I'm not going to fix any mistakes. I'm just speaking pretty freely and pretty fast because that's how I fucking speak okay. So far this dictation feature seems to work pretty good. I also tried it with my friend earlier on Skype in the chat box and it works really well. I'm now more convinced than ever that the moron who was suing Apple for Siri is a complete fucking retard and the guy obviously has some severe speech defects. not a single word in this post is being typed or corrected. Everything you hear is coming directly from my fucking mouth. I have now been this test to be successful in this post is now completed see
lol!!!!!!! I don't think I 've watched a lot of porn movies that DIDN'T have a variation of this scene in the script, one of the classic porn themes this one.
I am playing Real Racing 2 HD- so far, when 3D zooming the car models, there is quite a big of lag. However, during game play, the graphics run very smooth, I could not detect any lag whatsoever. The graphics are just ... well it's been said many times before
I noticed immediately I can read and post to AI forums without zooming in... fantastic for these 72-year-old eyes.
Indeed, the clarity and sharpness is very noticeable.
I don't mean this as an insult to anybody, but I would suggest to those few people who claim not to notice much of a difference, that they immediately make an appointment with an optometrist, because they clearly suffer from a medical issue.
I haven't checked, but I believe the iOS SDK supports third-party access to dictation frameworks. If this is true, then websites like AI could implement dictation commands for the new iPad -- commands like "submit reply", "quote" and even emoticons...
Just went to my local AppleStore to check out the iPad 3. I honestly couldn't tell the difference from the iPad 2. I had them side by side. The iPad 3 is bit sharper but the text underneath the icons is tiny. It didn't seem any quicker although I obviously couldn't play a game on it. The iPad 2 screen was very good. Maybe if you have excellent eyesight you will notice a significant difference but for me it was incremental rather than revolutionary.
It is better in a lot of ways but I'm also with you as of right now there isn't a big need to update to the new one. However there will be new apps that will support this new rez and cpu and then it will be worth it. I have no doubt that all my music creation apps that I use and is the sole reason why I have a iPad will improve greatly.
That sounds like a great combination. First somebody takes a little trip to one of the many coffee houses. And after they spend a half an hour or so there sampling the various goods, they can then take a nice stroll and admire the goods shown in the windows located in a certain district.

One word for you: optometrist.
Then maybe you won't wonder so much what all the excitement is about.

Well, luckily for me, this was no porn movie, because the Fed Ex guy was a dude.

Please don't visit my local coffee house. Thanks!

Consider yourself safe, because I don't drink coffee.
The only coffee houses that I like are those which are located in Amsterdam.

...Just enjoy the window shopping

To be fair he's going to need one if he keeps using macs with no scalable font and ri!
although I fail to see how someone would not appreciate the retina display.

I restored MC3 from my iCloud backup, and now it says it will not play because it has been illegally obtained.
UPDATE: had to delete and redownload. Kinda sucky since the game is over a GB.

Sir I have you package.
Sell it like you did your ipad 2... I don't know why you bought it. You said your $99 touchpad is more usable anyway.
iPad is a better experience in many ways. Touchpad is more versatile though.
