    Yes.

Actually, it's impossible to say. We can assume, but we can't possibly know unless one of us is actually in Apple and can confirm.

Running a newer version clocked faster it barely beats the 4S and still lags the iPad. And this for a brand-new flagship processor combination? Just catching up to a year old A5?

As I sad before, Mali-400 is a joke. It's old and it's slow.

It's faster than any other phone on the market AND it has 20% lower power consumption than the previous model. You may call the Mali-400 crap, but it doesn't have problems with any mobile games and it plays 1080p mkv movies effortlessly (still talking about the non-overclocked version), which is something that even my iPad struggles with (although this is probably caused by software). The A5X is a beast, but it consumes more power than an entire iPhone 4S. It's impossible to have such power in a phone at the moment.

I hope that it IS Samsung, but I'm secretly afraid that it isn't them. If that IS the case, I wish CultofMac and 9to5 wouldn't have reported on it unless they were sure.

What we all should see is the sheep commercial, as it's a given that that is Samsung.

CultofMac and 9to5? Are those the best sources that have the news so far? Even in their articles it says "it is thought that ..." Samsung is involved. In other words, they are not sure, and neither are you. If it is indeed Samsung, they are sitting ducks. A few choice words from Apple, the media picks it up and it's all over the news and internet and Samsung gets smeared. Apple couldn't ask for a better opportunity. And you would still advocate Apple not saying anything?

I would. Because that's not how it would play out. The media would report on Apple whining about its competitors' actions, not what those actions were nor their implication.

Did you even watch the commercial (it’s about a projector smartphone). Find me the Apple commercial that this is “copying”.

Ah yes, Samsung -- wake me up when they finally create THEIR OWN Operating System...

Tegra 2 had no problems with most games either, but nobody would call that a good chip. And since we don't have any official benchmarks yet, it's a little early to say it's the fastest phone, although it's a given it'll have the fastest CPU numbers. But if it does have a Mali-400 (probably) than that's a horrible companion to the much faster quad core CPU they'll be using. Apple has totally dominated the GPU horsepower race for over a year with the A5, and only now are companies starting to deliver performance that matches the PowerVR GPU. I find that rather pathetic, to be honest.

Gee can the Fandroids still claim Samsung isn't obsessed with Apple?

I'm curious...who paid that flash mob?

I don't think it should be illegal to insult, as that would be curbing free speech and freedom of assembly, which are protected (at least in the U.S.). As long as its not harassment. I think it's amazingly funny that people would form a flash mob in response to the popularity of Apple products. I remember in 1997 when Apple was the underdog and totally being written off. Now they are envied, copied, hated, and targeted by every organization that wants to get into the news.

Which Apple commercial is it copying?

And writing in large letters repeating the same thing is not convincing for me.

I agree. Especially since Apple suspends nearly all apps from running in background anyway. Furthermore, apple has pumped up the current iDevice GPU to handle the retina-quality displays in the iDevices. This is something Android devices cannot yet do. The only extra load I can see Apple adding to the CPU is better voice processing within the device.

It's a PAID flash mob… holding up signs that say "Wake Up"… to people in an Apple Store… of their own volition.

And… and Samsung… they put a herd of sheep in their commercial.

It needs to be illegal to insult customers. Doesn't matter who they are, all customers should be protected from insult. Insult companies all you want, but not customers.

One of the most nauseating things I've ever seen. Negative advertising at it's worst, directly and personally targetting and insulting consumers, and then hiding who the message is from.

No, you wouldn't expect it. It would be beneath Apple to make any sort of statement. Why would they? All it would do is give Samsung publicity. I don't think Apple gives a shit, nor should they. Apple is very selective with their public statements, and they only say something when they deem it needs to be said. Not like almost every other tech company out there constantly blowing smoke, opining on things, and constantly trash talking. Either way, it's obvious from all your 50 posts here that you're a troll. You don't like Apple, we get it. No need to waste you time registering and posting on a message -board about a company and products you don't like, trying so hard to make others look stupid. It usually has the opposite effect.

No, the Apple fans will cheer when they see Apple note and demonstrate a practical use of the higher spec.  A higher spec does not mean anything unless it translates to something that the non-geeks understand, whether it's speed, performance, graphics, etc.  Sammy has to do better than make some bad space video, use music from Mass Effect 2, and joke about the iSheep. Show a product and demonstrate how it stands apart and if it's only in specs but otherwise is no better performing than the Android phone of the previous week or month, who cares except the spec geeks lathering up about dual core vice core.

Not understanding the complaints regarding the music.

Considering the phone's name, the theme of the video, and the target audience, I think Samsung made a good choice with the music.

Plus, it helps that ME music is pretty epic in itself.

Samsung had better do everything it can between now and October because, mark my words, the 6th generation iPhone is going to bury them in the smartphone arena.
