Didn't Justin Bieber first tell people he didn't smoke pot when people were first posting photos on him a year ago?  Dr. Dre can drink himself to death, it's just another more legal form of drug that does cause brain damage.  It's actually more addictive than pot, at least that's what the government studies have shown.

Most hilarious is most of these rappers refer to each other as the N word and they get pissed off when a white person refers to them as the N word? Any time some rapper pulls the race card when someone voices their disgust for rap music, don't listen to them.  Not all blacks refer to each other as the N word because they are a little more educated and actually use the English language and/or another language they were brought up learning instead of street slang also known as Ebonics.

I don't want to see Apple putting out crap products just to make money and in the case of Beats, they sell a product to cater to the musically ignorant that don't understand SOUND quality.  That's MY issue with this.

I guess we are in the same boat. Buying Beats for 3.2B is exactly like paying $320 for Beats Headphone.

    1) There is no need to say you don't want Apple to make crap products, but to state and they claim that everything Beats makes is crap without supplying any evidence to support that isn't an argument. It's just a single biased opinion.

    2) Explain to me how the urbeats se at $89 are a worse buy for the money than the Apple branded in-ear phones at $79.

    2) I'm not sure 24-bit for streaming is viable. How much data would that be per song? Or rather, how many more times the data would be be per song?

24 bit streaming in one's home is more realistic with the latest WiFi technology, for over the internet, maybe not yet, but it's getting there if they use H.265 is what I'm thinking.  AAC would be compressed and maybe enough to to stream.  Now we have uncompressed or compressed using lossless which may not work as well, but the lossy compressed method might be able to work.  I'm sure it's right around the corner, it's just whether the labels will allow it.

And even more hilarious is that a lot of the customers who actually buy and listen to their music are suburban white wiggers, and those wiggers go around using the N word all of the time. I hear it all of the time. A bunch of schoolkids walking by me, none of them are black, and they're all calling each other N.ggas. Absolutely hilarious.<img class=" src="http://forums-files.appleinsider.com/images/smilies//lol.gif" />

    2) Fair Enough. I guess in this comparison I say it is a draw. Because Apple isn't focused on EarPhones, and hence while they are pretty good in quality, there are much better ones out their at that price range. And its funny you make that comparison, because Apple in-ear phones is famous for its lack of bass. While everything beats does it full of ( uncontrolled ) bass.

    1. Is not that Beats make crap. If there wont any comparison it would of coz be better then many other dirt cheap ones. But the problem is at the price range they sell. They are heavy on Bass and that is it. Most who looked for better headphone would very likely to pass on Beats, those who buy beats are very likely only listen to Full Bass music or dont know the existence of other premium headphone brands.

Well, you might want to talk to a doctor ab?out that and see what you can do to change that.   Some people remember the things in their life that was the most influential, some just remember things a lot more clearly and it maybe caused by a lot of different things like what they eat/drink/consume, if they get restful sleep, don't live with too much going on at the same time, etc..  It could be any number of reasons why.  I can remember details about events that took place 40+ years ago that were/are seemingly minute trivial details.  It's all about what you ingest, how much restful sleep you get and how much of your life you pay close attention to, what you are interested in the most, etc.  Maybe you don't want to remember past events for some reason.  If it's important to you, then seek some professional assistance as to what you can do to improve your memory skills.  Some people like to spend more time observing and studying rather than just living in the moment.  I know some people with little memory skills because they just care about little details, or they just have selective memory.  Everyone's different when it comes to that.

It is a double standard based on the ludicrous notion that "races" exist but it's certainly not hilarious. My issue with any discrimination based on "race" is that it will ultimately beget racism, regardless of the original intent. For example, Affirmative Action has had very positive effects in society but it also brings with it a slew of negative feelings because one can't be certain if they are the best person for the job if the choice is ultimately a "race"-based quota. For racism to ever truly be abolished we will need to remove everything that allows a group of people based on "race" to do something that is not allowed by another group.

You're irrationally conflating a lot of things here today. Language and we use it is a part of culture and has no barring on one's level of education.

Yeah, the Eminem syndrome.  Justin Bieber is going through that too.  It's just ignorance and immaturity.  Some of these people grow out of it, but it's what some kids do when they are in high school is they want to fit into a group and because they are probably not the A students, they hang around the slackers that just want to look cool, act cool and be part of the immature hip hop scene so they start acting like them.  Eventually they'll either grow up when it comes time to become a functioning member of society, OR they'll just end up going in/out of jail or die at a young age because they don't really care about themselves or anyone else.  High School is a definite social peer pressure stage at which people seem to take on false personalities to fit in with one group or another.  Some never grow out of that stage, some do.

It's up to you to explain why you think the Beats headphones are so good Apple can't replicate them, or why that $10 retail difference is worth. $3.2B.

It's nuts. That Beats brand is worth something only if Apple keeps the brand. Apple have never bought a brand to keep the brand.

I always thought people who walk around in public with their earbuds appear antisocial. They look down, no eye contact, never interact, never say good morning, etc. No one ever asks them about the weather or the upcoming weekend, or last night's big game. Wearing headphones in public is just a more extreme version of the same phenomena. It's like "Go Away. Don't bother me. I don't acknowledge your presence." I'm not so sure this is a good direction for modern culture. It breeds isolationism and that is never good for young people. They need to be developing social skills not avoiding them.

And I guess this is exactly the kind of people some people here think Apple should be marketing to. Dear me. I considered Apple a classy brand. Nothing classy about Beats.

For all of you accusing folks of racism on this thread, let me ask you: do you think this thread would have been all that different in tone and opinion if Apple had appointed Lady Gaga as special adviser to Tim Cook? Eminem? Justin Bieber? Miley Cyrus? Remember all the (justifiable) cackling here when Blackberry appointed Alicia Keys (or whoever) as their Creative Officer?

    Grow up.

If any of these rumors -- that's all they are, now -- are remotely true, it is a ridiculously weird and puzzling move on Tim Cook's part. I am willing to wait and see, but he had DAMN WELL BETTER articulate a strategy with this move.

No, it's not, because I didn't claim that Beats are crap and Apple's headphones are quality by association of being being branded by Apple.
