Macintosh: Reinstate or not?

Macintosh has requested that I create this post for him, I take no sides on this matter. I merely create this post to be fair to him. So...

"Should Macintosh be reinstated or not?"

Yeah, he told me he was banned to.

Mods? Admins? What the dilly, yo?

    Why?

Surely it wasn't because of his "tributes" or the iMac ordeal. He apologized for the iMac frustration and moved on. Now he's looking to invest in a nice video camera instead.

So, really, why was he banned?

    Yeah what's up...

I don't care either way, I usually jump over his drivel spewn posts but I'm just curious as to why he's banned.

The mods care to elaborate? Jonathan? Eugene? Belle? Anyone? I think he was obnoxious, but I would be interested to see what put him over the top...

I noticed the 'unregistered' next to his name today, but I just thought it was another nickname given to him by the admins.

Probably because of all the different names he's used to either be annoying or stupid. Jonathan told me that Macintosh was banned late last night so that's when it happened if any of you were wondering.

Can I have his cube then since he won't be needing it to post to AI?

Please please PLEASE do NOT let this place become like the Lounge at the MacNN boards where the boards are full of letters and threads about disgruntled members. The fact that Macintosh even asked you to start this thread answers the questions as to why he has been banned or whatever.

Please, let's not let this place crumble to hell with threads like this. Let Macintosh take up his issues with the powers that be, it doesn't concern us and Macintosh should keep us out of it.

Banned? wow. I always was a softie.

Sure, the kid was a little over zealous, but with time everyone gets put in their place.

He may have seemed obnoxious to some. But I can easily think of a dozen people around here who screw up these boards with unnecessary posts/replies/topics and general attitude.

He did seem harmless. I always thought he got picked on much more than he deserved - whether he brought it upon himself or not - and that those picking on him were no better.

Then again, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes and it really isn't up to us.

I think the MacNN allows all the complaining, and the Ca$h nonsense because it generates a lot of hits. Hits equal money and an eventual newsfactor sale.

I can think of a few people who deserve to be banned more than Macintosh.

After looking at macintosh's iMac, Apple's Lawyers probbaly sent AI a letter requesting that macintosh be bansihed from the forums.

Let's just stay out of this. You guys have not seen everything (particularly the thread last night that was eventually deleted). The mods have their reasons.

Anyways, this might be a temporary ban. They might be scaring Macintosh a little bit, so he'll clean up his behavior.

I never saw reason to "unregister" Macintosh from these boards, but I never saw what took place last night. Apparently the "AI Gods" had their reasons.

That said, I have no opinion on whether or not he should be reinstated.

 <---- I just felt like using that smilie since I don't usually.
