Apple's new 12" MacBook unboxed in Vietnam ahead of official release
Consumers looking for an early glimpse at the shipping version of Apple's all-new 12-inch MacBook need wait no longer, as the Force Touch-packing ultraportable has found itself the subject of a pre-release unboxing video in Vietnam.

The nearly all-white packaging features a frontal glamour shot of the MacBook on the lid, with the name stamped in a familiar foil along the sides. Included in the box, according to Tinhte.vn, is the new 29-watt power brick, a 2-meter charging cable with USB type C connectors on each end, and Apple's traditional informational packet.
The company appears to have eschewed the longer power cord that it includes with its other laptops, though the power brick does feature interchangeable plugs. Also gone are the flip-up winding posts that have long adorned Apple's power bricks.
The charging cord itself appears somewhat thicker and stiffer than those attached to Apple's MagSafe connectors. The UCB type C plugs look like larger versions of the Ligtning plugs, with extruded ovular casings.
Apple is expected to open sales of the new MacBook on April 10. Available in silver, gold, or space gray, pricing starts at $1,299.

Anyone able to identify the watch model the video handler is wearing?
Apple packaging is absolutely horrible. They make it really difficult to get the product out safely. You can't grab it. You have to flip it upside down, that is, if it didn't accidentally slip out unexpectedly and fall on the floor while removing the top of the box.
Oh, please.

I think that might be the Pebble Steel.

Yea, they included a pull tab on the info packet. I'm surprised they didn't include a similar feature for everything else.
If I remember correctly, the power brick usually comes in a plastic protector, and I didn't see one on this one. Maybe they went through before the video and removed all that. Could be there were pull tabs that got removed.

On my MBP the packaging was better and the computer was wrapped, but I have had a couple close calls with iPhone unboxings because the device is right at the top without any protection and the box cover was so tight you had to pry it off. Now I always open my iPhones on the couch instead of the granite countertop in the kitchen.
Difficult? The MacBook packaging includes a pull tab incorporated into the packaging. It's usually black or clear paper or plastic material. You lift up, the MacBook pops up enough for you to then grab it and lift it out. If that's difficult i'm afraid there isn't much more that can be done for you.
Isn't the product usually wrapped in clear plastic? Makes me wonder if this is a real unboxing.
Looks like an Apple Watch.
First time using the Block List, but it had to be done. Not sure why this obvious and committed troll has not been banned, but at least AI is courteous enough have a Block List.

He needs the concierge service they offered with the Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh. That way they can show him how to turn it on and things like that.

They probably opened it, then reboxed it to film the video. Or they had to do a retake.
I've never had an issue getting an Apple product out of the box.

Let's see you do it better, butterfingers.

I could do a much better job, and by the way, I do design packaging for medical devices.
can't speak for the keyboard, but it sounds really nice from those that have tried it.
but the connectors I can speak for & damn well entitled to have a viewpoint. for what the machine is priced at, there's NO reason to charge $79 USD for an adapter to charge AND plug in a device or video connection. None. If they didn't want to include the adapter, put a 2nd port on the power brick & make it a hub. If USB-C is that wonderful & flexible, Apple did a poor job utilizing it's functionality. Given the other laptops can change & plug in one other device WITHOUT charging for additional adapters, I see no reason the MacBook should be excluded from this. Pushing things ahead is one thing, but this is just an a$$hole move on their part.
the cable was pulled out / missing & unwound, so he unboxed it prior to recording this video.

There have been a few occasions where it would have been handy to be able to connect my Macbook Pro retina 15" to ethernet. Given the cost of this machine I think Apple should have included a voucher for a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter rather than slug for an extra $31.
